"Nice modern NEW building, good 180 degree ocean rooftop view, powerful AC, comfortable bedding, but needs some adjustments. "Swing" rope chairs at kitchen counter are very uncomfortable, and are of NO practical value. No toaster which is very strange. Initially no drip coffee maker, it was supplied upon request on day 3. No desk height surface for computer work, the dining room table is six inches too high for keyboard use and kitchen counter has no usable chairs. No plastic pitcher for drinks....

"Kippal was not our first choice, let me explain. We had rented a condo along the beach south of town. Unfortunately, a hurricane, Beryl, had visited the island days before we arrived. The condo we had reserved had not power due to power lines being down, so the owners of the condo we very gracious to provide us with a full refund. "We have stayed there many times and this time was the worst. We arrived a day late because our flight was delayed due to weather. They would not give us credit for the night we lost. The front desk staff were not very friendly. The tv didn’t work and someone came to fix it only to tell us that they had no free tv. If we wanted to watch tv we had to have a subscription to streaming services. The food was horrible. They convinced us to make reservations for dinner in the restaurant inside that is only open now for dinner. We waited and went to our reservations only to be denied entry because my husband had dress shorts on and not long pants. When we told them he didn’t have any long pants with him they just said he couldn’t go in. We had to eat elsewhere. Food is very limited as to what you can order just at certain times. They advertise the swim up bar is now open when it was only open the day we arrived. We arrived the Friday and left the Tuesday and it was only open on the Friday The pool water was extremely cloudy. We only saw them clean the pool with a net to remove floating things in the water the whole time we were there. I sent the resort messages since Sept 4, 2025 and they never answered any of them. We even wanted to upgrade our room and we still didn’t receive an answer. They have only about 5 employees there that go out of their way to help you in any way they can. We usually go once a year there but this was our last trip staying there. All inclusive is a joke."

Iberostar Waves Cozumel - All Inclusive

"This was a second stay for us at the Iberostar Cozumel. This time was a mother/daughter trip, although each of us had been here on previous separate trips. We've been to Mexico countless times and stayed at many all-inclusive resort. The rooms here are clean and the beds are comfortable-I was actually ill the first time we stayed a few years ago and was so grateful for the bed. The rooms in general are spare with just a very small table and 1 small chair plus a TV on a dresser. The bathroom was well-equipped with a nice shower and good towels. There's a nice deck in front with chairs. The food at the buffet was good, not great but good variety. The Mexican restaurant was good, but the smokehouse/BBQ food was very disappointing. The snack bar at the beach was a mix. Average food, but good for a late afternoon snack. It was kind of disgusting to see a small flock of little birds eating from the ice-cream dispenser, literally sticking their beaks into it (Avian flu? Germs?) Perhaps a netting could keep them away. The pool and beach areas were both mostly clean, and my one big complaint from both visits is the lounge chairs are never washed. Many of them are covered in tons of bird droppings and unusable. I don't know why they can't be hosed off every morning as I've seen done on other resorts. We didn't view any of the shows, so no comment on that. The people who work here are super nice, helpful and friendly. Erica from the restaurant visited with us twice."
