“John was a great host. He replied to my questions immediately. The location was perfect, right in the middle of everything. The cottage was perfect for our stay. I loved being up on a hill looking down on the road below. It was quiet and relaxing. The outdoor lighting was definitely appreciated. It sure gets dark in the country. The back bed was very comfortable (we didn't use the front bedroom). The Internet and TV reception was fine. Overall, a great place to stay for a great price. Thank you……

“This was a great property for our family (with small kids and a dog) for a long weekend to New River Gorge NP. The house was well equipped for us all. The kitchen had all the basics needed, a small charcoal grill on the deck, a firepit with firewood, a restaurant style highchair for our 1yr old, basketball game and foosball table for the 5yr old, basic supplies like dishsoap, laundry soap, papertowels, tp and whatnot. “The hosts were very communicative and the location is perfect for people who love to ski but the apartment is in a terrible condition. The sofas very so hard that we couldn’t sit in them, the beds were squeaking, there were no comforters but just a sheet to cover yourself while sleeping, the paint was peeling off in many areas, the TVs are old and not smart TVs, the commodes in the bathroom are too low and small. The apartment is in a lovely, quiet neighborhood of Oak Hill, a perfect home base to visit New River Gorge and other state parks in the area. The apartment itself is cozy, charming, well lighted and spotless clean. We feel so comfortable and relaxed as at home. all appliances are well kept and properly functioned.
