“I wish we had more reasons to stay near the Briar Inn because we would be regulars! We only needed one night in order to attend a few graduation events and the Briar Inn far exceeded our expectations. I could tell from the Expedia listing that it was going to be a quaint little place to stay outside of Salem, but it was really exceptional. The fine details in the rooms (snacks to purchase, complimentary bottled water, working fireplace, etc) really made this stay perfect. The bathrooms are……

“Beautiful castle building, free coffee at the reception, staff are very friendly and helpful. They even offered me a ride to the train station when the next train was coming within half an hour. Overall it’s a very pleasant stay. ”

“We loved everything about this place! The room had a nice layout. The Roku TVs were easy to use and it was great that we could easily sign into our own streaming service accounts. The refrigerator had a Brito water container with filter. The room also had a small counter top stove, a microwave and a coffee maker. The only complaint that I had was that I got pretty warm in the bed despite having the AC set to 65 degrees. There was no fan in the bedroom.”

“We enjoyed our two night stay immensely. How could we not, with a lovely view of Good Harbor Beach and a seven minute walk to get there. The staff was EXTREMELY helpful and welcoming. The property is clean, attractive and well maintained and the Continental Breakfast was well-stocked and appreciated. The ONLY downsides: the water, which took several minutes to get hot (which they made us aware of at check-in) and the shower which was a bit crowded with the soap dispensers on the wall. And……

“This was our first time at this property. It was not during peak season so I don't know how it gets during peak season but as far as I know, the hotel was full as it's not that large. The room was wonderful. We were in room 12. I had a beautiful deck overlooking the ocean and the beach our own walkway to the beach. The temperature in the room is comfortable. We had full access to the AC. The refrigerator and the little kitchen area was quite handy. The basket for breakfast was a nice touch and……

“Great bed, super comfortable. Love that it had a fully stocked kitchen. Only regret was that our room was on the basement level and the noise from People overhead was significant. But good overall. ”

“Property was nice with a good location right in the center of downtown and close location to all restaurants and shops. Breakfast is included, I would say it’s more of a quick grab snack than breakfast, although I must say they have great cookies and desserts available all day. ”

“My daughter and I stayed at The Cabot Lodge, on 4/14/26, for an overnight stay, before a college tour at Endicott College. I originally wanted to stay at the hotel on the grounds of Endicott College, but no rooms were available. In the end, I was glad that we didn’t get a room on the college grounds. We decided on The Cabot Lodge, since it was close to the college and appeared to be located in an area that had a lot to do (walkable area). There is no parking, but municipal parking was behind……
