"Such an amazing place to stay! Very clean and such a beautiful view. It’s honestly the best location ever! Some heads up, the shower is super tiny, and the room was a lot smaller than expected but for my friend and I it was perfect! The walk to the VRBO is about 35 min to the train station and even if you taxi you will still need to still walk on a gravel path but only for 4 min! "We had a lovely stay at this beautiful hotel. The rooms were clean, spacious and very comfortable, and the location was extremely convenient, right next to the ferry port. The hotel restaurant was lovely, with great food and a beautiful atmosphere. The only unusual thing was the pool service — you couldn’t order snacks while sitting in the pool lounge area and had to be seated at a table instead. Overall, a beautiful hotel in a very convenient location, and we really enjoyed our stay."

"We spent 3 nights in a really large nice apartment suite with a balcony. We were next to the pool but it was quiet with a nice view of the lake and Monte Bre. The hotel overall is a bit tired and in need of fresh paint, but the grounds were very clean. We loved the pool for a cool break from the heat and crowds of Lugano. Its a trek to find restaurants, even with the bus stop. We found good dinners 12-15 minutes uphill or downhill and skipped dinner the last night. The staff were very friendly and attentive."

"I can’t say enough about the concierge team! They were able to arrange transfers, boat excursion, taxi…anything we needed with just an email. It was all arranged prior to arrival and was perfect. The afternoon terrace lunches were delicious, especially the gin and tonic experience. And the housekeeping staff exceptional. We had a beautiful room, and I would 100% stay here again if we return to Lake Como"

"I don’t normally leave such detailed reviews, but in this case, it’s definitely warranted. Where do I even begin? The Mandarin Oriental, Lake Como was absolutely incredible and, without question, one of the highlights of our entire trip to Italy! We were travelling through Italy and booked only two nights at the Mandarin, but if we were planning the trip again, we would definitely stay at least one night longer. The hotel lived up to its name, which is synonymous with exceptional service, attention to detail, and over the top luxury. As breathtaking as the property is, though, what stood out most was the service and the way the staff made us feel throughout our stay. From the moment we arrived, everyone was warm, welcoming, and attentive. Even more impressive, the staff members we met during check-in made a point of greeting us personally whenever they saw us again. Those small touches made a lasting impression and are exactly what separates great service from truly exceptional hospitality. Everything about our stay, from our room and the food to the floating pool and the spa, felt special. We were genuinely sad when it was time to leave and wished we had booked that extra night. The Mandarin delivered exactly the experience we had hoped for and somehow exceeded it. If you’re considering staying here, do it! It’s definitely a splurge, but for us, it was worth every penny. Next time we’re in Lake Como, we’ll absolutely be back, and staying longer! 5+++ stars!"

"Really enjoyed our one-night stay here. The room was really clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was brilliant — plenty of choice and everything was fresh. It’s an adults-only hotel, although children are allowed at the beach club. We were a little unsure about that beforehand, but honestly it wasn’t really a problem at all during our stay. Drinks were reasonably priced and the location was great, just a short walk into Colico where there are some lovely restaurants and a nice harbour. We actually really liked the more relaxed pace of Colico compared with some of the busier parts further down Lake Como. Would definitely stay here again if we’re back in the area."
