There are many local hiking trails nearby the house, some folks suggest the North Crestone Trailhead, Willow Lake is a great day hike, and the Creekside trails along the greenbelts in the Baca Grande Subdivision are spectacular and lush. Whispering HillsRetreat is a great place for outdoor enthusiasts and folks looking for a peaceful mountain getaway.
Crestone Colorado is in the middle of the San Luis Valley. There is very limited public transportation in the area. We recommend Four Wheel Drive, or at least- All Wheel Drive if you are looking to come and stay during the Winter Season.

There are two small locally owned grocers, where you can find top of the line health food, vitamins and organic whole food. Enjoy dining in one of the locally owned cafes or restaurants and support the local artisans at one of the galleries or gift shops. We love our local thrift stores, so many hidden treasures can be found!
