“A very pleasant establishment just outside Keswick. Free parking and local bus stop. Room is in a really old terrace cottage full of character. The proprietor had a roaring fire going and she offered some homemade cafe to have with a brew. Breakfast was great - the eggs were fresh and provided by the hens in the garden. “Very quiet, cozy & comfortable Inn. Although located in a remote area of Lake District, easy to find & can reach other spots easily. “We spent a one night stay at Armathwaite Hall Hotel and immediately wished it was for longer...The reception staff were exceptionally welcoming, indeed all staff were friendly and helpful. “Excellent hotel, nothing to complain about. Stayed here to go to scafell pike which was around 25 minutes drive away. Also a beach around 10 minutes drive away. Hotel has a large car park, great outdoor space to sit as well.
Only down side was we went to pool room and it was locked, got the staff to open it and got change for the table from the bar. Just as we were going to start playing noticed one cue was broken in half and the other the tip was missing. Dart board not in the best condition.……
