Escape is a truly amazing holiday home - the best we have ever stayed in "Jane G Jan 2023 “Escape is our number one choice for staying in Culburra "Belinda" Winner of 6 South Coast Tourism and Stayz Awards Luxury Designer Beach House, absolute beachfront, amazing views, huge deck, huge new cabana on the deck, open fire, north facing, lovely flat lawn area, multi award winning holiday home. We have direct, private access to the safe swimming, south end of Culburra Beach near Tilbury Cove. Escape is one of the rarest of gems on the east coast - faces due north and right on the beach in the premier "dress circle " of Culburra - located at the superior safe (patrolled in summer) swimming south end of Culburra Beach near Tilbury Cove. Our calendar is always accurate and up to date. Escape is the perfect holiday home for families, groups of singles, couples and holidaying with your dog. We are located near many of the local wedding venues at Terara, Merribee, Nowra and Berry so the perfect base for guests and families. Escape is not available for weddings or parties of any kind.
•ABSOLUTE BEACH FRONTAGE - walk from our garden onto 3 kms of beautiful Culburra beach. Our own private beach access! Located in the best, dress circle, south end of Culburra Beach - great safe swimming and patrolled in summer. •AMAZING VIEWS - all the way up the coast from all living areas and the main bedroom. Be lulled to sleep by the sound of the ocean. The main bedroom is spectacular! •ONE LEVEL- a very rare thing for a beach house-suitable for more mature guests, rails in shower and toilet. Wide ramp to front door -no steps. A great floor plan with all living areas opening onto the deck •ENORMOUS DECK and OUTDOOR PAVILION overlooking view with Weber BBQ, outdoor table, large outdoor lounges in the pavilion. We also have sun lounges with big lawn area below •HUGE OPEN PLAN KITCHEN open plan living, large dining table (seats 10) all new appliances, good cookware, 2 comfortable separate lounge areas. •FLAT LAWN AREA lovely native garden. Lower deck near outdoor shower. •FANTASTIC ASPECT -the house faces due north so in the cooler months is filled with sunshine during the day and at night there is the OPEN FIRE with a shed full of firewood wood. . In summer Escape gets beautifully cool summer breezes so there is no need for any air conditioning. It is often 10 degrees cooler than inland. There are fans in the bedrooms. •FULL PANTRY contains flours, sugars, pasta, oils, sauces (basically everything you have in your pantry at home) Nespresso coffee machine, slow cooker, blender etc •WHALE WATCHING from deck September to December. We have binoculars. •DOLPHINS all year round •4 BEDROOMS (Bedrooms 1 and 2 both have Queen beds, Bedroom 3 has a Queen bed and a bunk bed, Bedroom 4 has 2 double beds) sleeps 10/12 adults but we can accommodate additional children. Linen and towels are provided for all bedrooms and made up for guest's arrival and fully included in rates. Fans in all bedrooms. •3 BATHROOMS including brand new en suite to main bedroom, new laundry, large new washer and dryer. •OUTDOOR SHOWER • Free unlimited Wi-Fi and 2 LARGE PLASMA SMART TV's •CHILD /TODDLER FRIENDLY: Cot with all linen, highchair, safety fences, indoor and outdoor toy boxes, books and games, large flat lawn area off the deck. It's a great garden for adventures. . ECO friendly house, mulched garden, safe cleaning products •Games, puzzles, library full of "beach reads", magazines -even current ones! Lots of local tourist information at the house as well as exclusive access to Jen's "Best in Culburra" tips! Woolworths and BWS both near bye DOG FRIENDLY – inside and out. Maximum of 2 dogs unless agreed with owner.Fully fenced, large front yard, (street side) secure side courtyard. The beach is always dog friendly and leash free at certain hours every day depending on the season. The backyard (beach side) is not fenced but we find our dogs to not stray far from the elevated lawn area (see photos) while we are around. Strictly no cats.
CULBURRA Culburra is the quintessential Aussie beach side town Culburra Beach is on your doorstep (literally) and Warrain Beach 5 minutes' walk. Both are surf beaches. My surfing sons tell me it's the perfect combination. The "bowlo " is fabulous and we have a Woolies which is a large, well-stocked shop with long opening hours. They will home deliver - have your shopping waiting! There is also a fabulous new restaurant/coffee shop in the centre of town called The Little Snapper.
Culburra is nestled amongst some of the Shoalhaven's most beautiful countryside. Near bye lake and Shoalhaven River for boating - 2 boat ramps. Great fishing: beach and river, catch fish in front of the house. Lovely beach and bushwalks nearby, Jervis Bay, National Parks, Kangaroo Valley, Berry, Milton, Abraham's Bosom. Book on local walks available at Escape which also gives information about dog friendly local walks. The local attractions include Callala Beach a 15-minute drive away. Towards Currarong, you'll find many more secluded white sandy beaches including gorgeous Honeymoon Bay. Delicious seafood is available at Greenwell Point. Great local fish and the best oysters in Australia from near bye Greenwell Point. Visit fantastic local wineries and restaurants. Oyster farms at Greenwell Point. Dairy Farms - visit a Robotic dairy farm, great fun! Golf; 3 courses nearby Horse riding Great for bike riding. Culburra is very flat and quiet, easy to ride to the headland at the end of the street, down to the lake, river, lighthouse and shops. Children's playground with picnic facilities 5 mins up the road or accessed from beach via Tilbury Cove. Surf school just up the road; arrange surf lessons, hire boards, wet suits, kayaks, paddle boards. Jervis Bay is 15 min drive away. Lake Woollumboola nearby is famous for its bird life. We are 2.5 hours from Sydney and 3 hours from Canberra.
We raise puppies for Guide Dogs N.S.W. Puppies spend their first 12 months with us prior to starting their "official " Guide Dog training. They absolutely love their holidays at Escape, and we have lots of photos at the house or on our Facebook page. Escape@Culburra
Escape is not available for weddings, pre wedding celebrations, schoolie groups, groups under 25 years of age or parties of any kind. For your added security, this property Escape@Culburra is only managed in Australia, and we never request payments be made to overseas bank accounts. Rates are based on 6 people. Additional guests are charged $60 per person per night. There is a cleaning /linen fee of $400
