"This seems to be a resort-oriented hotel. The rooms are spacious, able to accommodate families and larger groups. Amenities include a pool, a small exercise room, and a laundry room. Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable."
Secluded Setting On French Creek In The Southern Black Hills
10/10 Excellent
"Our stay was wonderful! We loved the location of this house. It was a great location for visiting all the parks. We especially enjoyed Custer State Park where we saw a lot of wildlife; bighorn sheep, bison, turkeys, burros, deer and prairie dogs. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking. We appreciated the welcome basket with wine and snacks. The yard was so peaceful with the stream and the deer that stopped by in the morning and evening. We enjoyed grilling and the fire pit.The house was very clean. The beds were very comfortable.Todd was very helpful, answering all of our questions and providing insights about the area. Based on his recommendation, we ate lunch at the Alpine Inn which was definitely the best meal of our trip."
Beautiful, Countryside, 6 Bdrm Next to Custer State Park with Air Conditioning
10/10 Excellent
"We loved this house! The cleanliness, the kitchen, the view, the firepit area, the comfy beds, the location, the communication--all were excellent! This is one of those VRBO's where you really enjoy coming back "home" at the end of an adventure. The garage was open, and we used the space to store our gear. One caveat--the downstairs is much cooler than the upstairs, and the stairs to the basement are steep (which is mentioned in the description). A small negative in a very large ocean of positives. We would absolutely rebook The Brown House if we returned to South Dakota! "
