October Delight

Great location for hiking up Salamander and across to Dolly Sods and overlooks of Valley. Artoberfest was fun and right down the hill! Lovely home with everything you need.

Daisy's Den Family Reunion

Property very kid friendly and location provided easy access to Dolly Sods for the more dedicated hikers as well as easy access to Canaan Valley Resort for shorter hikes and occasional meals. Kitchen well equipped and laundry kept everyone in clean clothes over the 2 weeks.

Christmas 24

We were worried with snow, but our 21 Tahoe Z71 4x4 with off road tires had no trouble. House was perfect for our boys who loved snowboarding and skiing. The bunk beds were a little uncomfortable for our older teens but they still loved the trip. Would definitely stay again. Kitchen was well equiped for Christmas cooking. Hot tub was wonderful.

Ski in Ski out with ease

This home is the perfect ski in/ski out location. We loved playing the arcade games during down time, and the kitchen was perfect for preparing family meals before heading out for a run.

Great house and location

Slopeside location was fantastic for 3-night trip to Timberline. Skiing was solid, crowds manageable (even on holiday weekend) and hot tub and gas fire provided primo apres ski entertainment. House was clean and well appointed. Would definitey stay again!

Perfect Slopeside vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was clean and was perfect for our 2nd ski vacation. We loved that it was right on Salamander trail and easy to access. Only complaint is that wished the team would have done a better job shoveling snow off the backporch as there was about 3 inches of packed ice/snow that we have to carefully walk on to get on the trails/to hot tub, was also unable to use the grill since it was iced over/snow covered.

Great pet and family friendly Canaan Valley getaway location!

Smooth check in, property exactly as described in listing and most importantly beautiful location slopeside at Timberline. For us as fall visitors this meant walking right out the back door for dog walks up the mountain! Kids loved foosball table and video games, adults loved hot tub and well-stocked kitchen.

Loved it!

Great space for two families to enjoy and easy ski in ski out to a green run. The warm temp control room for the skis and gear was a nice touch for next day dry wears! Hot tub stayed Uber hot even during freezing temps

Daisy’s Den

Loved Daisy’s Den and its slope side conveniences !! House comfortably fits 2 couples and 4 kids. We loved the ski and boot room that kept our gear warm and dry for the next outing and we used the hot tub which was clean and ready to use! The house was exactly as described and we felt right at home.

Fun and relaxing

We stayed a week and family came for the weekend. Everyone loved the cabin. It's clean and comfortable. Kitchen has everything you need. The arcade games were fun and the internet worked well. Went hiking all around the area and discovered that we could hike up the slope from Daisy's Den to a trail leading into Dolly Sods Wilderness!

Our family also really enjoyed the ski in/ski out aspect that this house has to offer. When not skiing, the house is stocked with games, puzzles in addition to the tv and video games in the house. We very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay at this house again.

Great kitchen if you like to cook, very comfortable beds and lots of recent upgrades to the house (floors & bathrooms). The hot tub was clean as was the house. We loved the separate heated ski room to leave and dry your gear at the end of the day! We hope to make this our go to at Timberline when it's available!

Time away in WV

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We spent a pleasant 4 night stay at Daisy's Den. This was a family (extended) break for us which including our dog Jackson. We came with expectations of hiking, biking, and cooler weather and Daisy's Den didn't disappoint. The accommodations were spacious, clean and welcoming to our little clan. Access to Dolly Sods was approximately .65 miles up the hill and once there we could hike to our hearts content. Blueberries were in season and very tasty surprise we all enjoyed. Everyone we dealt with at the rental office and neighborhood was pleasant and welcoming. Its a place we would definitely like to revisit.

Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay at this thoughtfully appointed, comfortable home filled with arcade games, a back deck and hot tub, a deluxe foosball table, games and modern accommodations. The reasonably complete kitchen came equipped with a wine cooler and decent appliances; beds were comfortable; the modern fixtures and window treatments functioned well. The hardwood floors helped our allergy sufferers and pets stay together. Only issue was that the place was not particularly clean; the refrigerator had dirty condensation coils and was not functioning properly.

Family Fun Christmas at Canaan

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My mom and I stayed at Daisy’s Den so we could watch all of the grandkids ski. It was fun watching them all gather and prepare to ski too! We also made use of the bunk beds by allowing four of the grandkids to stay with us each night. Four boys loves playing goose ball and all the other games. Four little girls made teddy bears and played games too. The four older girls made friendship bracelets and had popcorn and movie night. It was a wonderful way to spend Christmas with all of the family yet not on top of each other! The cabin was spectacular on every level...the only downside was the icy, slick driveway!

Best access to Dolly Sods trails

The home provided all necessary amenities and then some. Host responds very quickly and had answers to all my questions. My daughter saw a black bear out the living room window the first day we were there. It is pet friendly but very clean. It stirred up my allergies a bit but nothing major. Plenty of games and things to do inside on a rainy day. Tons of options on the television. It’s more private than some of the comparable properties in the area. The lots on each side are wooded so you don’t see the neighbors. The hot tub was very clean and has a nice view of the woods and the night sky. There was also a baby fawn in the woods beside the driveway when we arrived the first day. The Dolly sods trail entrance is just up the hill from the cabin so that was the best asset for us. We really enjoyed our stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We spent a great weekend at Daisy's Den this fall. Although we had rainy days, there was plenty to do in the house. Lots of fun games, including old arcade games from the past that make for fun contests with family and friends. The kitchen is stocked with all the essentials along with items you can't always be sure you will always find at a vacation home, such as a blender, crock pot and big pots to cook for a big group. It's great to be right on the slopes, even when it's not ski season, as there's a ready made trail to walk and enjoy the scenery. Great places to walk your dog from this pet friendly location.If you are coming in the winter, be sure your car has 4 wheel drive or chains, as the last bit of road to the house is very steep and could be a little harder to get to in the winter.All in all a great spot for a fun long weekend.
