“The cabin was very cute. Looked like pictures. It was clean but very dusty and spiderwebs and spiders. Maybe the time of year don’t know. We rented because it was within thirty minutes of our house with room for dogs to run and canoe and water access. Within ten minutes of being there we read that there were other dogs roaming the property. And we saw the m shortly after checking in. They were nice but our dog is almost completely blind so having the other dogs there created him to be very……

“The place was very quiet and peaceful. I really enjoyed the calm atmosphere. It was a great place to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet. Everything was clean and comfortable, and I had a very nice stay.”

“Peaceful and serene location in the middle of nature - I really enjoyed just soaking in the surrounding views! Fully renovated, clean and all in all top notch!”

“It was a quaint, clean cottage. Loved the seclusion and would love to stay again.”

“Nice place only thing I would recommended is updating beds to queen or king size.”

“Great home. Would upgrade the mattress in second upstairs bedroom. ”

“As the picture shows, low ceiling above the bed. Very comfortable once you crawl in! THE VIEW - AMAZING! Experience seeing and feeding the animals - DELIGHTFUL! Nathan/owner is engaging and didn’t mind our young grandkids when they came over to see the animals and wanted to sit on the excavator. Bring boots!”

“Great place with a lot of room. My youth group especially enjoyed the games downstairs”

“The house needs a lot of work, peeling paint , cracks in woodwork, mold at bottom of living room window, and light bulbs out everywhere. There is a very strong mildew odor. Host has 2 dehumidifiers running constantly which indicates a lot of moisture. It is a charming house that needs a major makeover.”

“We stayed here because my son got married at Burdoc Farms Oct 17th, 2026. The house was so cute, very clean and about 10 minutes from the venue. Any messages I sent to Phyllis, she got back to me promptly. The only downside was we would get back so late from setting up/wedding that it was too chilly to enjoy the front/back porch and gaze at all the stars. It’s just over a 2 hr drive (from Louisville) so if I needed a quick weekend reset, this would be the perfect quiet place to unwind.”

“Property was great ..quiet neighborhood..close to everything..great host and communication..I will not stay at a hotel again..when in this area..I will stay here again”

“nice place, simple but nice. TV could have better line up but otherwise, pretty good.”

“Great convenient stay close to family!”

“My husband & I had the most relaxing enjoyable weekend! The room was immaculate & equipped with everything one could possibly need. The hosts were extremely friendly & helpful with recommendations of places to eat & things to do. We will definitely be coming back here next time we need a quiet break from it all. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat.”

“Property was even better than I expected. The host was very nice. Home was very clean and had plenty of extras that might be needed. Yard is big and beautiful with an easy, gentle slope to the dock. We loved having a private swimming area off the dock, it was better than the public beaches we went to. It couldn't have been any more perfect for our family. Home was easy to find, close to LBL and a store right down the road. Honestly, this was the best vacation house we've ever stayed in because……

“Thank you for sharing your beautiful place with us.”

“Amazing place to stay!!”

“We had an amazing stay at this property! The location was fantastic—convenient and quiet. The home itself was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing trip. The host was responsive, welcoming, and provided clear check-in instructions. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!”
