Breathtaking
What an amazing stay!! The hotel is a little rough around the egdes, but the ROOM, its like a totally different environment. Ask for more towels and tp and the owner without question brought it right over. Loved having access to the back door, takes you right to the beach. We saw dolphins from the balcony and it was amazing!! Within walking distance from pretty much everything you could need or want. When we come back next year, this will be the first place i look at to rent. Loved it!!

Didn’t have wifi or hot water to shower
So it started with no wifi and I needed as I was booked for 3 weeks to work on vacation as well. And it says pool and and indoor pool .I talked to the host and he said that both pools were full prier to us coming and the outdoor pool still has a fence around it and the indoor pool isn’t even close to opening. Then there was no hot water to shower so for the 2 weeks we showered in cold water . So we left a week earlier only compensation was paid back for the week that we left early. Should’ve been cheaper for what we had to endure on our 2 week stay. Sad I do believe it was beyond David’s control though but should stay no pools Raylene

Great place Love the location and the beach is beautiful, The pools were all closed along with Tiki bar and restaurant! Also luau was not operational but was told all will open soon after we leave hummm lol! Maybe next year since we will be back!!!!

We spent three weeks in a studio. Location, location, location, is what it is all about for us. Being right at the beach with the awesome ocean views was amazing. We even saw dolphins right from our room on a few occasions. The studio had all the things we needed and the bed was very comfortable. The pool was not reopened yet due to repairs from the hurricane but with the ocean right there it didn’t matter to us. Our host was amazing. He responded quickly to us every time we had a question and was super nice.

This condo is exactly as advertised! We enjoyed our stay very much! Even with the pool being out, it was still an amazing stay with a quick walk to the beach. The phone service was not very good in the condo, but still able to receive notifications. The owner was very nice and very easy to get in touch with! Would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful time the room was very nice and clean loved the view wished there was not construction going on but after that storm it is a must to get everything back to normal we didn’t really mind it all everything is understandable what was having to be done we will be back soon

The unit was as advertised. Nice walk-in shower, all studio amenities as promised, A/C worked great. Terrific beach view. Side walls of deck angle down toward the front so view also extends to each side. Although temporary, area is currently under extensive hurricane rebuilding, especially sea walls, pools, and any beachside structures. Construction activity limits beach access options. Building itself is also in need of storm repairs, e.g., hall carpeting, ground floor amenities. Because unit is the furthest from lobby, internet is spotty but there is seating in the lobby that can be used. David was very responsive to all needs and the price reflects the current difficulties.

Room nice, building old and dirty, won't stay again.
The building is run down and not well maintained at all. The unit is updated and nice and has everything you need with a great view. The unit could use a deep clean every now and then or maybe just better cleaning between guests. The bed was comfy but the pillows flat and hard. The balcony is not 100% private, you can look over and see and smell others next to you. The curtains did not close all the way leaving about a foot of uncovered window where others could look in and let a ton of sun in making it impossible to sleep in. The provided umbrella and 2 beach chairs were awesome. A cooler would be nice to provide as well, we bought a Styrofoam cooler and left it behind. The furniture was banged up, super dusty with stains from various liquids. The owner neglected to tell me both pools were closed for basically the duration of our stay. We arrived Sunday evening and were to check out Thursday at noon. The pool was closed mon/tues/wed due to imbalanced chemicals we found out, so if the pool was maintained like it should, there wouldn't be a need to close it down to correct chemicals. The heated indoor pool we were told had been down for a month for roof repairs. I emailed the owner with positives and negatives of this condo and the fact the pool was unusable for us and heard nothing back. When I asked for a later check out, 2 pm, so we could use the pool a few hours he agreed. Some money back would have been nice, or even a thank you for letting him know about some of the issues with his property. The tiki bar by the pool was nice and staff at the bar were very friendly and accommodating. If the room was cleaner with curtains that closed all the way and had a pool to use this property would be top notch.

Small but perfect
Small one bed kitchen will tiny eat in kitchen. Place was perfect for the money we wanted to spend. Building the condo is in, is a little old and dirty but the condo itself was fine.right on the water beautiful sunsets and sunrises everyday evening and morning. Getting to the beach or pool was easy as 1-2-3.

Room was great. Had everything we needed Hawaiian Inn was built in 1965 and needs some updating.
It was easy to rent from David. He’s a hands on guy. We had a problem with our coffee maker and within a few hours it was exchanged out. Room was well equipped with beach needs. Thanks for making our stay great

Beautiful Oceanfront Condo
This condo is beautifully furnished with all the amenities of a wonderful stay at the beach. The view of sunrise from the walkout sundeck is indescribable and something we enjoyed every morning. The owner has all the necessities covered so all you need to bring is your bathing suits and whatever foods/drinks you want to keep in your room. The queen-sized bed is super comfy, the linens are new and luxurious, and there is always lots of hot water available in the bathroom. There are beach chairs, boogie board, sunbrella, beach towels, and many other extras we don't usually find in rentals. Thanks, David, we really enjoyed our stay and you are a great host.

Overall a wonderful room. Had everything that was needed including beach chairs! Very clean! My only complaint is that the microwave and oven did not work. We moved the microwave on the island and it worked fine so maybe bad sockets? But other than that it was wonderful!! Definitely will be coming back!

Nice Daytona Beach Stay
We rented the condo from David from June 19-July 01. Since it was just my wife, daughter and I the studio condo was the perfect size for us. We did like how the living/bedroom/kitchen were all together, nice to talk while cooking with no walls to divide you. We especially loved the huge walk in shower, that was so nice to not feel cramped in a tiny shower. Now as I read in a couple other reviews, the building itself is rather old and could use some updating, that is true, but that has no reflection on David, his condo was nice. A couple things I would have liked, perhaps David could correct before the next vacationer comes in. The black out drapes do not cover the window/sliding door. The top seems to be torn from the holdings and the AC blows the curtain so much that we had to put a weight in the window to not only keep the curtain closed, but if not you could not feel the air. We had our own beach chairs, although the ones there looked very nice, but both umbrellas were broken. That was a a disappointment because chairs and umbrellas were advertised in the listing, we had to go buy an umbrella of our own. Not that this was a make a break deal, but it would have been nice to have a working umbrella to use on the beach, perhaps the cleaning staff could inform David if things need replaced if he is not at the condo frequently. Besides those two things that could easily corrected, we loved our stay! The condo was so close to the beach, literally out the side door (which we loved the parking) down the side road and there was the beach! You can stand on the balcony and wave to your family on the beach and they will be able to see you clearly! We would recommend David’s condo!

Greatest beach view
Had a great time at a beautiful condo. Had good amenities and clean with plenty of towels. Good utensils and cook wear. Only recommendations I could say is bring your own pillow as he has plenty but not particular to my preference. Could use a mattress topper or new bed as it was a little uncomfortable and maybe some plastic coffee cups for the beach if I was nitpicking. All in all I would still give it a 10/10 and recommend it to anyone as it was everything we wanted and more . Thanks David

Cozy oceanfront place with a great view.
This studio is a couple of miles south of the main entrance to Daytona Beach, in a less crowded area of the beach. The Hawaiian Inn property abuts one of the drive on entrances to the beach. The parking lot was generally crowded but spaces were available. Once you are checked in and get the key to the entrance gate, park in the smaller south lot. Then unload your car and use that gate. This is a quick and easy way to occupy the unit. This is an old building, most noticeable in the stairways and elevators. This unit is on the second floor very close to a nearly private elevator and features a balcony that has a direct ocean view. David has done a wonderful job of updating, decorating, and furnishing this apartment. Everything works. The kitchen is small but efficient. I spent a great 4 days there and would be very happy to return.

Just what we needed
I was skeptical at first glance…. The hallway and elevators were dated and rickety. But one we opened the door to our room it was just what we were expecting. We were in town for Daytona bike week. The location was what we were looking for.. there was a challenge with getting access to our room but the maintenance man was very friendly and helpful and went out of our way to make sure things were good. Loved this place would book again!!

Bldg. is older but they work hard to keep it clean and Staff is really nice. Loved that it was just down the road from Winn Dixie grocery store. Unit nice. Tikki hut and food great. Pools - esp heated one was wonderful on chiller days. Hawaiian Luau fantastic! Lots to do for kids at the resort.

I wish my stay was longer as i didn't have time to enjoy the facility amenities (2 pools, bar, workout room). My focus was the beach and this property had all I needed for that! Super pleased with the room, very nice and cute. Well equipped, great views!
I had no idea what to expect, never did a VRBO before. Reviews of the main property building were all over the place. The actual room was super nice, decorated in a cute beachy way. It was extremely well equipped, in addition to what was listed, also beach chairs, towels, umbrella, putters and balls for the course outside. Iron and small ironing board... Nice, real fridge, mini real stove, tons of utensils, and cups/plates. Bed was decent, nice pillows (2 firm, 2 soft). Excellent view of the beach. The beach itself was amazing, the smoothest, flattest, cleanest beach I have been on anywhere, no junk, no yucky plants, no rocks/shells, wade out 100 yards or more and still not over your head. The building itself is quite dated, but still 100% functional. It isn't pretty, but maintained to be working. Pool was very nice, and deep for adults, they also have a covered heated pool that is smaller, we didn't use it though. The "Tiki Bar" is out next to the pool and decent fun drinks, and good bar food (fish & chips is excellent). I recommend the "frozen Miami Vice" drink. It is on a quiet stretch of A1A, and seemed to be fully booked for most of our 7 day stay while a lot of other places nearby weren't. I don't know what the other rooms/condos are like there, but this one has to be one of the nicer ones. The only trivial complaint I would make is it would be nice if there was an in room safe, just for extra piece of mind, like in other hotel rooms. Also, there is a de-humidifier in the room, and it works excellently. We ran it probably 80% of the time, and it filled daily. We kept the room very cool, and nothing was ever damp feeling like you get in hotel rooms a lot, cloths, bedding all felt nice and cool/dry. I will definitely visit again, and would choose the same room again.

The property had a beautiful view and was spotless. It had everything we needed and we appreciated the extra touches, like the dish soap, hand soap, paper towels, and even makeup wipes. There are more than enough bath towels and there was even beach equipment for us to use during our stay. As others have mentioned, the actual resort could use some TLC but the individual condo is just as pictured and has been well taken care of. We will definitely visit again.
