The Uptown Suite of the Suites of New York is a beautifully furnished 3 bedroom , 2 bath spacious apartment on the entire second floor of a two story iconic home in Deland. You enter the home through an outdoor staircase leading to the screened in patio that also houses the washer and dryer. The large living room/dining area features a huge couch and comfy armchair recliner and a beautiful dining table with 6 chair seating. A custom built wall cabinet holds games and books of all kinds as well as a flat screen TV. Louvered blinds help keep this Florida home cool and cozy. There is a brand new tiled bath near the front bedroom with all linens provided. There is a second bath in the hallway that leads to the other two bedrooms on the opposite side of the upstairs apartment- so lots of privacy. The retro black and white kitchen has full size appliances, microwave, coffee maker, dishes, pots and pans and utensils allowing for easy meal prep. All three bedrooms are equipped with queen size super comfy beds, linens, louvered blinds and black out curtains for those who love to sleep late. Of course A/C and heating with a central system is provided. Amble parking is located all around the building and boat parking is available. Located just a 15- 20 minute walk from the center of award winning Deland, a stay in this centrally located property gives you easy access to everything Central Florida has to offer. Owners Bill and Erin are close by so let them know if you need anything special for your stay.

Wi-Fi is provided. There is no cable. For your entertainment, our television is equipped with Roku, a device that provides over 40 channels, or applications. We provide access to premium channels including Disney Plus, Hulu and ESPN. If you would also like to access Netflix or Amazon Prime, you can log in with your own credentials.

Deland has been awarded the “Best Small Town in Florida” many times and holds regular festivals including the Mardi Gras Dog Parade, The Christmas Boat Parade, Juried Art festivals, and several holiday parades like Veterans day and homecoming. Deland hosts its own Bike Weekends to coincide with Daytona Bike Weeks. The MainStreet DeLand Association - Deland, FL link can show you the upcoming calendar of events.
New Smyrna Beach is a quick 35 minute drive and world famous Daytona Beach with its awesome Daytona International Speedway - NASCAR racing is also 35 minutes away. Both beaches allow driving and parking on the beach. Both places hold Bike Weeks in October and March each year.
Deland is home to Stetson University and the Stetson Mansion wired for electricity by Thomas Edison himself, as well as multiple art museums and theaters.
De Leon Springs State Park is nearby with The Old Spanish Sugar Mill, famous for its pancakes made right at your table- a must for breakfast lovers. You can pack a picnic lunch and relax all day under the huge shade trees, enjoy canoeing on the river or a swim in the natural spring at this beautiful state park. The St John’s river runs through Deland and offers many types of activities at the nearby marina which also has a rustic seafood restaurant right on the water, and fishing near the Whitehair bridge on Hwy 44. The St Johns River also has lots of wildlife including alligators. The manatees winter at beautiful Blue Springs just 20 minutes away. If you do bring your boat, pay attention to the no wake and manatee zones to help protect the large "sea cows". The town just South of us, Sanford, has a Riverboat Cruise that is a great way of touring the river.

And of course, Orlando’s world class attractions are just an hour away, including Disney World, Epcot, Sea World, famous International Drive and Universal Studios with its newest Harry Potter themed attractions. Day trips might include U.S. Air Force Space & Missile Museum in Cape Canaveral, the world class Outlet shopping area in Saint Augustine- the oldest settlement in America, or a trip to Busch Gardens in Tampa. Gainesville, home to the University of Florida is two hours north and Florida’s gulf coast to the West is about 3 hours. Tarpon Springs on the Gulf coast is another easy day trip. Awesome off shore fishing is offered at several nearby marinas, weather permitting. These include Reel Deal Offshore Fishing in Ponce Inlet. Remember, you are visiting sunny Florida so take advantage of our wonderful weather to see everything this beautiful place offers.

The Daytona airport is only 25 minutes away as is the Sanford International Airport served by many European travelers. The Orlando International airport is approximately 1 hour away.

There is plenty to do and see in Central Florida and The UpTown Suite will make sure you’re stay is comfortable. Book your stay today!

over all good stay

House looked as described and pictures are true to the appearance as well. House Was conveniently located only 1 mile from DT DeLand which worked out perfectly for our group. House is not anything fancy but it is clean and big enough for 6 people to stay comfortably. The fire detectors did end up needing batteries replaced and were constantly chirping the last night. Other then that the stay was good.
