Beautiful, Homey Guesthouse

We loved our stay! The house and the location exceeded expectations. For a one bedroom guesthouse, it felt spacious and had everything we needed and more, like a beautiful pool and hot tub. It’s off the beaten path and was very peaceful and comfortable. We’ll definitely try to go back.

Temporary Home

This was a great place to stay. Quiet and quaint, out in the country with little noise. Pets are allowed and are even catered to. We stayed here for a few days between selling our house and being able to move into our new house. It worked out great and was much more relaxed than trying to stay at a hotel.

Best country retreat. Beautiful property. Wonderfully decorated. Outside property was fantastic. Great host. Will be back with hubby and family. If you want to relax and breathe then this is the place!!!

We came into town to see our grandson get married! As usual , we brought our 2 dogs. This was our second stay and we highly recommend for families to stay here with the playground, pool, hot tub, outdoor kitchen and they are adding a childrens zip line!

Little piece of heaven

Beautiful property from the the guesthouse to the whole 5 acres. Perfect for geandparents down to the youngest grandchild! Antique furniture to games, horseshoes to outdoor kitchen and pool, playground, firepit, horseshoes and cornhole! I loved the property cat on the prowl aka Domino and there is "hush money" in the form of cat food in the kitchen lol. Deer come to the feeder...friendly goose and chickens are nearby. The "Gratitude Garden" was precious! All in all we give it 5 stars!

Country guesthouse

Finding a place to stay for one night seemed unlikely, but I stumbled upon this beautiful listing and booked it very easily. The hostess commuicated quickly and was accommodating. My husband and I stayed here for our wedding anniversary. It was a pleasant surprise to find chilled champagne and glasses waiting for us. The place was a bit further out than expected, but that just added to the peaceful atmosphere. The house was incredibly clean and beautifully decorated. Pets are welcome and it was obvious by the addition of paw print towels, extra leaches and doggie treats. We enjoyed the beautiful outdoor space, the comfortable king bed, gorgeous shower and lovely space. We decided on dinner at Casa Torres- (2708 S Fm 51, Decatur, TX 76234) Delicious Mexican food and great service. The next morning, we left the wonderful guesthouse and ventured to the town square. We ended up having coffee at Trinity Street Coffee Bar where it's brewed hot and fresh. The Woodland Escape was a quiet, cozy place to stay and just what we needed for the new year.

Clean, well appointed and relaxing.

Great place in a quiet setting. Close to Decatur and LBJ Grasslands if you want to explore. Property was clean and very homey. Will likely visit again at some point.
