「The home was charming and secluded. I booked this home for my son, daughter-in-law, and grandson to stay in to attend my dads celebration of life. They did not spend much time there due to how busy our weekend was-only there to sleep. The home was clean and nicely decorated. Upon arrival I could not get in because the code to the house had not been provided. I sent a message to the owner and heard back promptly. I would recommend this home to anyone looking to stay on the island.」

「The cottage was nice for what we needed which was a place to shower and sleep. It was a little further from Acadia National Park (about 45 minute drive one-way). Allen was very kind and welcoming. The grounds were in need of some care and we are pretty sure there was a mouse in the cottage.」

「The property was clean and as listed upon arrival. Our son loved having the water right up the the house and being able to fish. The house was well furnished, had extra blankets and adequate kitchen supplies. Any drawbacks were minor; limited food storage (pantry) space and limited local entertainment . 「Great location for hiking Acadia NP. Inquired if there was a fire pit, the booking agency said no, but we found out as we were leaving that there was a shared fire pit-disappointed. Stairs to bedrooms were very steep-ok for able adults, but hazardous for children and others. Enjoyed the accommodations and location.」

「We enjoyed our stay very much. If it had been warm enough to enjoy all of our meals outside that would have been wonderful. We didn’t plan or pack for any rain but when it poured for a solid day, we were thankful for the cabin’s shelter and wifi and umbrella when we went out. 「Everything was exactly as advertised. Our family of 4 spent most of a week calling this place home base. Check in was simple and hassle free. The neighborhood is excellent; ideally located relative to points of interest within Mount Desert. The bedding was superb; often a source of struggle for me personally. 「This was a perfect location to explore and experience the Maine coast! I wish my stay was longer, and I hope to return again someday. Alex, the host, was so friendly and attentive.
