“Very quaint in my opinion, almost a bed and breakfast feel. Room was very clean, had a workable desk for my laptop. The Steak & Ale restaurant was very good, I sat at the bar and got a really good burger. It was very busy there when I got there on Friday, seemed like a lot of people at the bar where regulars but they were talkative and friendly. The only "complaint" I would give is that there is an event room or bar to the left of the check-in desk. It was pretty loud with music, however; it……

“The hot tub was not hot and was gross. Room smelled like cigarettes. Hotel smells like cigarettes. You can see skin flakes in the water in the hot tub. Door lock didn’t work and was expected to leave it unlocked when we left, maintenance guy promised to “look over it” ”

“We were greet promptly and with a smile by a gentleman when checking in. Room was clean. We have only a few small issues, we were excited to eat at their little dining and bar spot and found it to be an inconvenience because they only had 1 employee running the kitchen and bar all while receiving room orders on top of people coming to be seated, the poor women was overwhelmed an had to shut down early because of to many orders and people in the bar. “We arrived on time for check in 3:00PM, but was informed by manager that my room wasn’t ready due to short staff, staff had a death in the family. The manager said it should be ready in 20 minutes, The time is now 3:25PM. I asked the manager again, was the room ready, she told me, “that the room needed to be inspected. “Room was clean but you could tell it hasn't been DEEP cleaned in a while. Bed was comfy, breakfast was meh, ok if you cant afford to go out and need to save a few bucks. People living on the property. Walls are super thin and talking in the hallway sounds like they were right in our rooms. I couldnt tell if the full hour long conversation in the hall and constant slamming doors was guests, staff, residence, or what. I'd stay here again but only if nothing else was available. ”
