「Its one of the oldest buildings in New Orleans so don't expect perfection everywhere you look. But, if you know what you're looking at its where someone who cares about the greats of jazz also sleeping there. It was a jazz museum once and the staff is very proud of where they work」

「My room was very old and outdated. The furniture and walls were all scratched up. The sheets weren't clean, which I didn't see until afterwards because I didn't sleep on that side. There was a loud noise that sounded like a truck coming through the walls repeatedly throughout the night. It most likely was a plumbing issue. The hotel needs a renovation ASAP.」

「Upon entry of the hotel you smelled insect repellent. It smelled horribly bad! There were only two elevators in the hotel and one elevator stopped working. 「I stayed at Place d’Armes over a very busy Fourth of July weekend, and the location was perfect for walking to almost everywhere I wanted to visit in New Orleans. The courtyard made me feel like I had stepped onto another continent, and I loved every bit of it. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and the ceiling fan was a game changer I didn’t know I needed.
