St. Simons Island Demere Park Hotels

" This hotel needs some major room updates. For the price you pay, the rooms are just outdated. What i saw in the pictures for our room is not what we got. We booked an ocean front only to see the palm trees out our balcony instead of the ocean. Don"

"Everything they say is true - great location to walk to the village for dinner or the beach for a morning walk. They home has lots of space for sleeping and for storage. We stayed a month and loved the use of the dressers and closets. Having a laundry especially for an extended stay was priceless. We felt totally at home. The kitchen had a wide variety of dishes and cooking pans - and a wonderful pantry area next to the stairway that allowed us a place to store extra paper and canned goods. I hated to leave. Neighbors were friendly and the pool next door made it so easy to enjoy lounging in the sun just steps from the condo."

"This unit is in the perfect central location while also peaceful and quiet. It is well-appointed. The King bed is superbly comfortable. The layout takes getting used to (finding light switches etc) but the place had everything needed including an ironing board and iron. I must always look more closely though to noticing that a unit has only a microwave and fridge/toaster (no true kitchenette and the only sink is in the bathroom). I'm not sure what zoning is involved but a hot plate or small stove/oven and even a utility sink would make this a unit that I could stay in longer - I always cook. If those changes were made I would come back and stay much much longer! But for short-term stays or folks who plan to enjoy all the wonderful food on SSI, this isn't a blocker. Ample room in fridge for beverages or leftovers. Living room has ample size for guests also. Backyard is really nice to sit in when the sun is out. "

"The room was not touched during our stay. No restocking of coffee or cups. Toilet cut on and off all night, which we reported but had no attempt to fix. (It probably needed a new flapper. The desk ladies and the breakfast crew were phenomenal and always one step ahead of your needs. The breakfast was delicious."

"The room was clean and well laid out. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a little cold outside to use the pool so I stayed out. Our room 214 had thin walls since people in room 212 was very upset about something and woke us up with the commotion. Overall it was a good stay."
