Walkable to town shops, bakery, coffee, brewery, etc, artisan shops , historical town with quaint interesting museum. Terrific staff and easy transportation and bag storage for train travelers. This cabin was great! Easy to walk to town, very clean and well updated. Comfortable for 6 adults. Fun to sit outside and play cards. The host was so nice and even helped us jump our car in the morning! Would definitely recommend staying here.

The cabin we stayed in was idea for three people,
It was clean and comfortable. Also, close enough to the Main Street of Talkeetna. There is no closet space in the cabin, there are a few hooks on the wall as you come in the door. There is also a bench where you can sit and take off your shoes, and a place to set your shoes underneath. All in all, it’s a cozy little cabin.

We absolutely loved our stay at Chinook Winds! The owners went above and beyond by picking us up at the train station and even giving us a tour of the town, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.
As owners of a travel agency, we usually stay in large corporate hotels and rarely book cabins or locally owned accommodations. This was a last-minute reservation, and it completely exceeded our expectations. Everything was exceptional—from the incredibly comfortable bed to the soft towels and great coffee. It was, without question, the best lodging we experienced during our Alaska trip.
The photos truly don't do this place justice. We can't say enough good things about Chinook Winds and will absolutely be recommending and booking it for our clients in the future. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!
