We had a great time. As we were spending a week we planned and brought food with us. We were surprised to find there was no stove or oven. We wish we knew this ahead of time. There was a convection hot plate and a toaster oven. We were able to compromise. It was centrally located to every thing we wanted to do. The kids saw the Maria concert at red rocks and we did several hikes. It was very clean. It was cost appropriate.

Cozy cabin close to Denver

Very convenient location. You live in a forest but still close to Denver. About an hour drive to Rocky Mountain National Park. The cabin has everything you need to comfortable stay for a few days, so you can enjoy the nature.

Kit Carson Cottage in fall.

We had a weekend tent camping trip planned, but Mother Nature made us reconsider. Luckily, this little 'cottage' was available with short notice! We enjoyed our stay even though the weather made it difficult to enjoy outdoor activities. The Kit Carson Cottage was clean, warm and quiet. Communication with the host was great. He contacted us quickly when there was an issue. (It was related to hurricane force winds- no fault of the property owner.) Thank you!

Just what I wanted

When I was looking for a place to stay during my Colorado vacation, I wanted something quiet and outside the city. This place was perfect! The cabin was clean and tidy, and had everything we needed. The beds were comfy and the shower was hot. It was centrally located so we were able to make day trips to Boulder, Denver, Golden, Red Rocks, Estes Park, and Rocky Mountain National Park. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet place to enjoy nature!!

Great location

The place is located in a perfect area, easy drive to Estes park, red rocks amphitheater, golden and Boulder. It was very quite which is nice. We slept good but with some warm days while out there, there is no ac so the trailer can get warm during the day which didn’t bother us to much as we were out and about majority of the time. But it has everything you need and we slept comfortably. All around not a bad place to stay if you are looking to explore the mountains.

Nice Stay in Coal Creek Canyon

Good experience living / working in Coal Creek Canyon for a winter week. I made good use of the well-equipped kitchen, and the speedy, reliable wifi. It snowed twice and they were good about plowing the parking lot. I appreciate having a lower-price point option for the area. Be aware that this is a trailer. There is not a lot of insulation, so I stayed bundled up inside. It seems to have been fixed up recently and has a latex paint smell, which I stopped noticing after a while. My T-Mobile cell phone had no coverage, which caused problems occasionally. I'm told that AT&T has good coverage there. The area is not walkable, particularly in winter. I rented an all wheel drive vehicle, and I recommend that to anyone visiting in winter. I would have gotten stuck several times without it.
