“There was little or no noise from the pub. The only noise near my room was other guests arriving and departing. Parking was no problem. Staff were very pleasant and, due to them, I was able to get my head down in good time as I had been up all the previous night. This was followed by a very sound night's sleep. Breakfast was perfectly adequate for me (cereal and toast). The evening meal I had booked was again perfectly satisfactory. For my one night's stay, the experience was fine. ”

“The location was simply perfect, with a lovely proximity to all the eateries and amusements in the area, as well as the walks and scenery. Our room was clean, warm and spacious and we all slept very soundly (better than at home)! The breakfast was perfect, exactly the right amount to kickstart our days with a lovely selection too. “The room we stayed in at the back of the pub called The Old Barn was amazing. So clean, eco friendly and spacious. We did think the top floor overlooking the lounge area could be utilised better as there was just a massive dining table in there. The staff and dining in the pub was exceptional. ”

“Lea Hurst is a fantastic place to stay , Quiet and secluded. The house is beautifully restored and the room was superb good views over the countryside,, Jen was a superb host and made us feel welcome in her home. Excellent breakfast and the canal path only 5 minutes walk through the garden. Good location for visiting all of the Peak District. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to return ”
