“Check in: at the bar. Wait for 5 minutes as the staff served at the bar at that time. Wifi: good. Room: spacious, clean. One grocery shop near by, 5 minutes walk. No self laundry service. Breakfast: not buffet except juoice, milk and cereal, ok, basic. ”

“This is not a 4star hotel as described, it’s just a tired old pub that has some accommodation. The ‘deluxe’room that we had booked had stained carpets,sofa and cushions and was very basic. The two small bath towels and one hand towel provided were frayed. The menu is very basic in the pub. I had a pizza that was inedible as it tasted mouldy and looked horrible. We checked out after one night having booked and paid for 3 nights. The building has an unkempt vibe. The car park is very small and……

“Room was very clean & spacious. Breakfast was delicious & included in the overnight rate. Evening meal from adjacent pub was excellent & reasonably priced. I will say my phone died & the directions / loss of sat nav made it a bit tricky to find. Definitely head for South Wingfield.”

“Overall we had a pleasant stay. We stayed for 1 night as we were visiting Chatsworth house the next day, and the location was convenient. The check-in process was smooth, staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was pretty standard, spacious, comfy bed. On site parking was decent The only things I can say negatively was the shower wasn't great, the toilet had a really weak flush. The floor was very creeky, and there was quite a bit of noise coming from the room above in the morning.”

“A traditional old style public house. We enjoyed our stay. The room was as expected, clean and tidy, and we were pleased to have a full bath in the ensuite. The location is perfect, being very central to all the local amenities and shops. The employees were friendly, professional and they made the environment feel good. The food was typical of a Greene King pub, reasonably priced and thoroughly enjoyed! I would recommend a stay here, if you enjoy traditional style, central location ( with good……
