“Helen was the perfect host - friendly, outgoing and very helpful in every matter. Communication was easy, room was clean, breakfast great, parking available”

“I had the worst hotel experience of my life here! The shower had a cheap plastic shower head that was broken when my daughter first tried to take a shower. The shower head disconnected from its base and couldn’t be used. We reported the issue and a staff member worked on it and said it was fixed. Then my son tried to take a shower and the shower head disconnected from its base even more. It had been 2 days without a functioning shower at this point. I told the staff as we left that we would……

“Very old installation. Need a serious refresh.”

“This is a wonderful tico property that truly feels authentic Costa Rican. In the thick rain forest I felt very close to the earth. The breakfast is special and the owner is fabulous. I will return!”

“It was alright. Doctor Larry is really good”

“The staff were so hospitable and nice! The breakfast that was included was ok. The beds were hard, which some of my family had a hard time sleeping. But overall the property is so beautiful and clean! If you have a 1 night stay, this place is perfect!”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our few days at La Vida Mountain Resort and Spa. We particularly enjoyed the evenings watching spectacular thunderstorms flashing in distant skies over other valleys while there was not a drop of rain where we were. The food was consistently very good and the staff always friendly and helpful. We would definitely return.”

“Location to parque vivas was great.”

“The location was beautiful. The rooms are VERY large. I was not aware that the room did not have a/c or fan (but I did not read the details, I just assumed it did because of the pricing) the weather was not super hot this day so it was ok, but on a warmer day it definetly needs it, also no TV at least in our room, the bathroom had some leaking in the shower. The beds and pillows were ok. Maybe we just assumed beacuse of the price that it would be a little more premium. But the experience was Ok……

“Wow! What a wonderful place to stay- a magical end to our two weeks in Costa Rica. Perfect for the whole family. We loved the chilled, welcoming, and friendly vibe. The children had so much fun playing with Margarita's dogs, and we had a lovely stay. Thank you so much, Margarita.”

“Nice place, convenient Rooms with fridge, coffemaker, microwave, kitchenet and all the things necessary for cooking. Recomendation: if you have a car it can be easier 'cause you have several supermarkets and restaurants near there ( 2 km or less) but if; not try to have some things to cook before due to by walking/uber/bus could be complicated. The rest of the things are OK, nice pool some weekend”

“Good”

“Outstanding experience. We arrived in San Jose and wanted to catch our breath before our 3 hour drive the next day. Chayote Lodge was exceptional. Great view, very nice restaurant on property, comfortable beds and great sheets. Chayote, the canine greeter, is delightful. Lovely!”

“很方便，离开机场很近，有免费班车，但是只能坐一次，第二次开始要收费，每次10美元，酒店的价格比较实惠！但是房间里蚊子太多了……洗澡时会没有热水……”
