Summer get away

The overall property can use a little updating like some fresh paint on the guest bathrooms downstairs and all the individual apartments but the unit we stayed in was nice and clean and well maintained they had everything you needed to cook with and the pool area was really nice!! The only problem I had was the walk up it’s was so long from the parking garage!! But over all it was a good experience!!

Great Stay

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this property. Check-in process was easy. Kids loved the pool and how the beach was walking distance. There are plenty of dishes and utensils for a family of five to use. We will try and stay here again.

Nice Condo

Loved the two master suites! Lighting in one bath was great! Other one just needs different bulbs to produce a brighter light. Very clean! My complaint with The Palms is there is no Bell service like I read there is? There are very few luggages cart’s available! We had to make several trips to get our luggage to our room! Very frustrating!

Best vacation so far for our family.

Great Spot

Everything was as described. The only issue we had was the outside traffic was a little loud for sitting on the balcony and enjoying your morning coffee.

Good but needs updates.

I know this is a property management company and overall the property was well maintained but there was some updates needed. Dust buildup in a couple of not so noticeable areas, painted cabinets were chipping, carpet needs a total refresh. Overall nothing to deter us from staying and nice facility with easy access to great places throughout Destin.

Great property

Very well maintained property. Lots of amenities at the facility (restaurant, bar, pool, hot tub….). Great location. No real complaints and I would definitely recommend this property if you are staying in destin.

Great place!

Overall, we had a great experience. Our first morning we found the coffee pot was cracked and we notified the management company. We had a new coffee pot within an hour or two. Other than the table in the dining area being different than the pictures (and the table top not attached to the base of the table) the room was as stated. Water pressure in the master bath was low compared to every other water faucet. The resort was clean, pool amazing, bar staff were nice. Restaurant was under construction and due to lack of staff was counter service only. Overall, we would definitely stay again.

This unit needs work

You have to drive or take the shuttle to the beach; although, it’s right across the street (3 min drive or less). But it is a public beach, not a private beach. You do not get an umbrella and two chairs with your condo like we prefer. The dishwasher did not work properly. Kitchen had most of what we needed except no blender, and we always make pina coladas so I had to buy a blender. It’s a 3 min drive to Walmart which is convenient. The door handle on the main entrance to the balcony was broken making it difficult to open/close. The two king size bedrooms also have access to balcony and their doors seemed to work properly. The front desk gave us the wrong WiFi password upon arrival and it took us a while to realize the correct WiFi password was on a laminated sheet of paper on the fridge. The freezer has an automatic ice dispenser which made it nice for filling up our coolers with ice everyday. We only bought one drink from the poolside bar because it was so expensive ($12 for a small cup of pina colada). The pool area is amazing though; very kid friendly, our almost 2 year old loved it. The door to the condo did not lock from the inside and was very easy to open which was a problem for us keeping the kids from opening the door and running out in the hallway; made us really nervous and had to keep a constant eye on them. The dryer took at least three cycles to get anything dry enough. I would change this listing from “sleeps 6” to “sleeps 4” unless they dramatically improve the sleeper sofa. My husband, our toddler and I were supposed to sleep on it, but we never did because it was so terribly uncomfortable. We just pulled the thin mattress out of the sofa every night and slept on it on the ground. There also weren’t any spare blankets for those sleeping on the sleeper sofa so we had to go buy a couple blankets, and a floor fan but that’s just because I can’t sleep without a fan and there were no ceiling fans and only one floor fan in the master bedroom. No smart TVs so you can only watch cable. The water pressure is the master bath is horrible; the water barely trickles out, but the water pressure in the other shower was great. Although no spare blankets there were plenty of spare pillows; down pillows and tempurpedic pillows. We had to go buy extra toilet paper, paper towels, and dish soap, but we usually always have to. Best part about this resort is the pool; very nice and kid friendly pool. Overall decent place but probably won’t return.
