    Amazing place to stay. Very clean and perfect location. Grounds are very well maintained, elevators are fast, and pool area is large and beautiful! The spa and workout area are a fantastic bonus! Thank you for making this trip so wonderful!

    Clean large rooms. Great location. Prior to arrival emailed asking if beach towels provided. Never received a response. they are not. Sandbar is a great addition for cocktails. Beach and pool are beautiful. Many things within walking distance. Extra toilet paper, paper towels and basic seasoning would be nice to include. never stayed at a VRBO that wouldn’t allow leaving unopened water bottles etc. Housekeeping wanted it dumped.

    Excellent view and condo was nice. Great beach area and large pool. Need to advise people they need to bring salt/pepper, extra paper towels and toilet paper, bath soap and dish detergent if staying 5 days.

    The beach view and pool were beautiful. The beach chair rental was ridiculously expensive prohibiting us to enjoy the beach every day which was why we took this vacation. Plus there were no beach chairs in the condo for us to use. The kitchen utensils, big bowls, storage containers were very limited or nonexistent. The grills outside did not work. The unit is in need of some updates (the carpet is gross, the sink and curtains in the master bath are broken, the cookware is limited, the lighting is awful). We will stay at Silver Shells again just not this unit. Definitely not worth the price we paid.

    Amazing Gulf views! Fantastic location next to state park. Beautiful pool. Unit itself could use a little TLC for minor updates and deep cleaning. Otherwise, a wonderful place to stay.

    Good trip, bed weather

    We come to Destin every year for the past 25 years, and we stay at Silver Shells every tyear since it was build. The resort is beautiful and well maintain. We always stay in St Martin, but this year we stayed in St Croix unit 1406. The unit is very comfortable and well decorated. It looks better than on the pictures. The vew from the balcony is amazing. The check in process was eazy and our unit was ready at 4 pm, exactly on time. The amenities were ok, except the sinks in the master bathroom sprayed water all over the counter when open the faucet. The dishwasher needs to be replaced and the washer makes very loud noise the whole time its working. Everything also was working fine and we had a great time. The only disappointment was the weather. We went for 1 week and we only had a good weather for 2 days. There was some tropical system coming from the Gulf and it was raining nonstop for 2 days. Even after the rain has stopped the sky was covered with very dark clouds for the rest of our stay. But I guess there is always a chance of bad weather when going to the beach in October; it's still hurricane season.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a good stay at St Croix 1406. The unit was clean. It was nice not to have to pick up a check in packet at the realtors office. The dishwasher didn't shut off all the time. The key card process is a pain. The resort needs to install more key pads instead of having to use key cards. The carpet is going to need replacing soon. The unit could use some new skillets and more Dish rags, Dish towels and pot holders. The patio furniture will need replacing soon.

    I’ve been at silver shells every year or every other year for 24 years and I was disappointed in this unit we stayed in. Carpet dirty rug in living room dirty 2 TV never got them to work.

    Condo unit was perfect for three couples. Unit was clean and loved the layout. Perfect to access beach, pool and loved watching the planes. Would definitely rent in this location again.

    Beautiful Beaches of Destin

    The property was very well maintained and completely turn-key. The views were spectacular from the deck overlooking the pool and beach. The security around the property was exceptional and I greatly appreciated the private entry onto the property and the privacy of the property's amenities. Beautiful white sand beaches and exceptional staff on the beach overseeing our comforts throughout the week were superior.
