Bastides Dordogne-Périgord Holiday Rentals

"Hotel familiar ubicado en un entorno precioso, en centro pueblo medieval de los más bonitos de Francia. El personal del hotel, encantador, y con ganas de ayudar en todo, muy amables. Es un hotel pequeño, en una casa antigua totalmente reformada, muy acogedor. Nuestra habitación era en zona colindante con entrada directa desde la calle. Con pequeña cocina, baño grande y acceso directo a la piscina. Cama cómoda y grande. El desayuno auqnue poca variedad pero productos de calidad que junto con el ambiente y la señora que atendía nos hizo los desayunos muy placenteros. Lo único que comentar es que no nos arreglaron la habitación en los cinco días que estuvimos (4 noches). Pero quedo contrarestado con una estancia muy agradable y con ganas de repetir muy pronto "

"House and pool spotlessly clean. House had every thing you needed. The lack of shade around the pool was disappointing one small umbrella is not enough for a family. Unfortunately we had a lot of rain although it was warm so nowhere to sit outside was a sleight problem, and we found the sitting inside very uncomfortable and again not really for a family. The house was in an ideal location and in some amazing countryside"

"Lovely house, pool and location - directly on the bank of the Dordogne river. Really peaceful and quiet village, coming from the Home counties the lack of aeroplane noise and sirens was so refreshing. The small town of Lalinde has all you need and a lovely restaurant in the town square. We spent a day in Bergerac, visited Castelnaud, Sarlat, Tremolat, Limeuil, Le Buisson, Beynac & Lascaux - Recommend all of them. A canoe trip along the river was a real highlight for us, there is so much to do. Don't overlook a wine tasting tour, organise your own, all of the vineyards are super welcoming. The whole area is so clean, friendly and welcoming, try speaking a little French, it goes a long, long way.In short, we had a fantastic two weeks at a lovely, large property. Thanks you."

"What an amazing place! Bettina and Christophe were fantastic hosts who from beginning to the end of our stay ( and prior to!) went above and beyond to accommodate our every request and answer every query that we had. Excellent communication. A babysitter ( who was excellent ) was found so we could attend an evening wedding reception and Christophe drove us himself in the evening so we could enjoy the reception. The accommodation was well equipped with everything we needed and the play “ barn” a great help entertaining the children when it rained. The pool area is lovely and for peace of mind it is alarmed which was good as we had young children with us .. The children enjoyed the various animals on the estate from cats/rabbits/ducks and even goats! We were also lucky enough to see a wild Boar on our drive home from the wedding reception with Christophe! We took advantage of the full fridge service which made the first evening much easier and the bakery delivery to the door in the morning was also a great service. Bettina's welcome guide to the property answers all the day to day queries a visitor might have regarding their stay and is also a comprehensive guide to local facilities and attractions. During the stay I was able to communicate with Bettina through wats app if I had any small queries and nothing was too much trouble for her.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to stay again .. thank you Bettina and Christophe. Thank you so much Lawrence, lots of great memories.Loved the markets and eating out as well as spending time on the river and lake. Would recommend a day out to explore the caves at Proumeyssac."

"We had a really lovely stay at this property, very tranquil and very close to the beautiful bastide of Monpazier. The pool is very welcoming in the summer heat and the sunbeds provided are comfortable.The bedrooms could do with a bit more storage, maybe a couple of chests of drawers along with some mirrors.The hosts are onsite and friendly.There are a few more bastides locally including Villeréal and Belvès - the latter has a fab night market on a Wednesday, just remember to bring your own plates and cutlery! "
