「Property was decent and comfortable. The layout worked and added separation for two sleeping areas. The decor gave off a modern vibe. There was a lack of attention to the details though, leaving things looking unfinished. For example, the ice maker didn't make ice and there wasn't an alternative ice tray to make ice, one of the electrical outlet in the kitchen didn't work, and other small things.」

「This is the place to go if you want a clean peaceful place to stay. Close to everything or just to stay an relax. Highly recommend」

「I am so happy I discovered The Ash. The price was comparable to the big chain hotels in the area, and the additional space to spread out made me feel at home. I was very comfortable there. Like the owners, I love the romance of these old motor court-style motels, and I love what they've done to bring new life to this charming property. If I ever return to the Soo this is definitely my go-to vacation home.」

「We asked the host if there was any smells in the cabin when we booked our stay because my wife has a number of health issues that strong synthetic smells can make worse. Such as scented laundry soap and cleaning supplies. We were assured by the host that there was no smell and she asked the cleaning crew to not use any cleaning supplies with and odor. When we arrived at the cabin we walked in to an overwhelming smell of laundry soap with sent so much that my wife was only able to be in the cabin...

「Two couples, two dogs, one great time. Fishing was slow but the food, beverages and the wonderful view of the bay made up for the lack of the bite. Maybe next time (there will be). Thanks again Julia. P.S. One of the better places to see the Aurora borealis.」

「It was easy to find and settle in. The only "complaint" that I would have is there is a tree growing from the beach and blocking the view from the chairs. We had a great view of the lake through sunset and moon rise, and the sunrise proved the name Paradise.」

「The house was great! We were a group of 6 that was visiting the upper peninsula for the first time and used the house as a home base from which to see other spots. It's only 10 minutes from the Shipwreck Museum, which is a MUST to see, 2 hours from Pictured Rocks, 1 hour from Oswald's Bear Sanctuary, 1 hour from Sault Ste. Marie (Soo Locks), and 30 minutes from Tahquamenon Falls.The house had everything needed for a relaxing time after exploring the UP.」

「Enjoyed the camp experience. Nice water front site. Tent was comfortable. Enjoyed have a king bed. Nice private site with a camp fire and separate solo fireplace for cooking. The drummond island coffee was a nice touch. Used the French press to brew. That was the extent of our cooking. There are restaurants available, the Mexican restaurant was very good. Would stay here again.」
