“This is a lovely, updated, modern unit with everything you need to enjoy your Boothbay stay. Clean, comfortable beds, nice linens, lots of seating, and modern appliances. The coffee pods and toiletries were nice extras. The view is into the surrounding wooded area, very peaceful and quiet at night. It is just a couple miles from a grocery store and the harbor area. “It was our first trip to Boothbay and we couldn't have been more pleased!!! The Shipbuilder's retreat was well appointed in every way! Wide open, well cared for, and comfortable. We enjoyed coffee on the deck and playing games in the evening. It was a convenient trip to the local grocery store, and was very near to all the beauty and joys of the Harbor, light house's, LL Bean (an hour), and hiking. We LOVE it! “Beautiful coastal home with stunning ocean views. This was our first visit, and we absolutely loved it. The large porch and multiple decks overlooking the cove offered amazing sunrises, moonlit evenings, and gorgeous sunsets. The property feels private, even with neighboring homes nearby. Check-in was easy, and communication with our host, Maggie, was excellent and prompt.We enjoyed walking the trails down to the beach to watch the lobster boats from the rocky shore. “House was immaculate, roomy and up to date. Anything needed was supplied. Host could not have been more attentive and accommodating to our needs. All of our party were adults but had a great time with shuffleboard, board games, and hot tub. Perfect combination of adult and kid friendly home. Location was far enough away from town for privacy but close enough if needed anything or wanted to go out for dinner and drinks. Will definitely stay again when in the area.”

“Spacious cottage (in a resort full of cottages) nicely located to visit Boothbay Harbor, Wiscasset and a day trip to the Portland coast. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils etc to make it easy to cook. Large table for family game nights. Great beds! The front porch and lawn were better for hanging outside. The back patio area is small and needs cleanup but we did not need it. ”

“Communication with Property Owner was excellent. This cute little cottage has been renovated and has a nice feel indoors. There is a beautiful porch on the back with a lovely view. The unit includes a mini fridge and mini microwave along with a little table and two chairs. If you have long hair, water pressure could be a concern. My shower worked great but the sink water pressure was not strong. The bed was comfortable and the decor was nice. The air conditioning works fine.”
