“Discovered this very local listing (I live 6ish miles away) while looking for a unique and convenient venue to host my recently discovered biological brother for our first face to face meeting. The timing was challenging, as the college nearby was holding “Parents Weekend” leaving all the Ashland area hotel rooms booked. But as I was familiar with Pactamere Farm, this spot intrigued me. My brother was wrapping up a busy conference week in NYC prior to his visit with me in Hanover County, and……

“Sweet upstairs lodging for a night as we were in the area for a grandchild's graduation. The countryside is just beautiful! A slight damp odor to the garage (the bedroom is above) but no problem once upstairs. Temperature easily adjustable, bed very comfy. Bose radio nice! It was perfect for our visit and the host very accommodating.”

“A quiet serene atmosphere tucked closely to the main amenities of the retreat but still surrounded by beautiful scenery! The grounds were sprawling perfection of relaxation and beauty. The treehouse exceeded any and all expectations from comfort, cleanliness and cozy vibes. Never heard another soul as neighbors kept to themselves, however we were often visited by the friendly cats of the community. Coffee in the early morning hours with a book all amongst the backdrop of gorgeous trees & hilly……

“A great place to rest our heads after a long day of hiking! The Glad Cottage was the perfect size for the two of us and our dog, though keep in mind it is tiny! It was clean, the kitchen was modern, and the cabin itself was cozy and welcoming. We had our own fire pit and deck which was a great bonus, plus lots of space to walk our dog.”
