"The location was ideal. I like to walk everywhere and it was easy from here, as well as the walks being beautiful (except maybe the walk to the train station, but that was okay!). The room with the double windows (two sets per side, which opened) overlooking the water was a total delight as well as being very comfortable. For the shower without a curtain, the trick that worked for me was just to gently move the lever on the left forward, towards me, to use the overhead spray, which didn’t get as much water all over. Bistro Bondy, a few doors away, was great and is open for a simpler breakfast, as well as all afternoon (and Restaurant Albert was great and just over the river). The WiFi was also very good. An absolutely enchanting stay - and very pleasant and helpful staff!"

"Our four day stay in Sofitel was absolutely a lovely restful experience The check in was seamless and perfect. The housekeeping five star. The overall experience was fantastic I must specifically mention Frederic who went the extra mile to assist in getting a doctor’s appointment for my Aunty and Maya who was very helpful and both made the unexpected need for treatment sorted. The hotel is situated in a central position for ease of transportation and a daily walk by the river Rhone was an added bonus . Lots of places to eat and walking distance to the Place Bellcour a massive open space surrounded by local shops and the Metro for rides to other areas in Lyon. This is a really nice hotel."

"Good hotel for a short stay. It’s conveniently located near the train station but a bit far from Lyon old city. Standard small clean room, quiet area, decent typical french breakfast with a lot of sweet and some savory options. Few grocery stores nearby "

"Shower was a wee bit small but other than that it was perfect. The metro was only a 3 minute walk away along with the shopping mall in case you need necessities or a quick bite. Most the staff also spoke English which made checking in and out a breeze."
