“Enjoyable 2 night stay with my mother in a spacious twin room. Room fan provided to help with heatwave. Ample room refreshments and willingly replenished, Excellent breakfast. The mostly young staff were friendly, very helpful and professional. The downstairs interior was modern and comfortable with a lovely, airy seaside feel. Kept very clean inside and outside. Nothing remiss here. Would stay again. Long stay parking initially not easy to find in Sidmouth but we were lucky to get one of the……

“Avoid, avoid, avoid. Quite possibly the worst place I have stayed. It's not 'normal pub noise', it's club music from 15years ago playing until around midnight. No soundproofing. Room was filthy, hairs on top of the bed (didn't lift the quilt to see what was underneath); floor hadn't been vacuumed, was dirty and heavily stained: toilet hadn't been flushed, let alone cleaned, whatever was in there had been festering for what looked like a week. No air con and no fan in the room. Room felt……

“Making an effort, new carpets etc, but needs maintenance, black mould on walls, lots of cobwebs, loud generator making beeps all night.”

“The requested room was an ensuite, it had a toilet and bath , no shower which might be problematic for some. The room didn't have a fan which meant I had to have the windows open all night which was noisy. I paid for a basic room and that's what I got.”

“The Inn was comfortable and there's a car park nearby. There's a pub at the ground floor and another one opposite the inn. A supermarket is about 100-200 feet away so it's quite convenient. You can reach southern Devon's costal attraction within an hour's (by car). A natural reserve is also very close.”

“Hope Cove is a lovely place to stay. Food at the Hope and Anchor was five star. Staff were friendly. We did feel however that certain parts needed more attention. There was thick dust under the dresser in restaurant area. There is a paying car park next door which was £12 for 24 hours.”

“Well positioned pub for Dartmoor walks. Ideal for Estate Agent as completing on a property. Friendly staff. A mirror in bedroom near a plug would be useful for hairdryer which is not included.”
