It’s very private with big trees all around. You really feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere but not far from town. We had some of the best dinners only a short 3 mile drive from the house. "Best way to describe this cozy little place. We've stayed before & will book, again, next time we travel to Clayton. In fact, we won't travel to Clayton unless we can stay here. It's completely charming, close to the Boat Museum, an easy walk to the central shopping/eating area, and a long stone's throw to The River. Communication with the landlady is easy & thorough. Parking is a breeze. All photos posted are accurate & true. It's a charmer!"

The wineries were very good, and the fishing off of the dock was great, we caught perch, catfish, large and small mouth bass. Location was perfect right between downtown Clayton and Alex bay. "Wow! This place really exceeded our expectations. If you are looking for a quiet spot right on the water, this place is perfect. The host provided everything we could possibly need, and the comfortable beds were so perfect. My kids loved all of the outdoor space, and we all enjoyed the deck, the two level dock, the screened porch, and the fire pit area - so many spots to relax and enjoy! This place is an absolute gem."

The location of the house to the boat ramp, bars and restaurants was perfect and the ability to dock the boats at the house was really convenient. The owner of the house was super thoughtful and welcomed our group with a "welcome basket" of goodies to start our trip right. Very clean, comfy and plenty of amenities. We'll definitely be back! "Great location and well stocked home! Lovely sunsets and fire each night while overlooking the water. Two of the bedrooms were VERY tiny which we did not expect- might have been better for twin bed or bunk beds?Comfy couch and lots to do."

"7 women on a weekend getaway and the house fit the bill. The house is nice and the location is beautiful. Beds were very comfortable. The sauna was a neat amenity. Kayaks and fire pit were also great additions. They had a gas grill but we didn’t use it. Close to Clayton and Sackets Harbor, both cute villages with things to see and do."
