A little distant from where we were attending wedding and otherfriends but instructions on getting there impeccable and having heating on with our rather late arrival was a lovely suprise .Facilities were as represented only issues were coffee machine was to initimidating to use without clearer instruction snf teenage angst til they found the wifi connection

Wonderful Surprise, Snow! But ...
Six Adults stayed in Snow Brainer (62 to 70 yrs old) plus 2 Samoyeds. Snow an unexpected joy, except snow chains had to be on & together with a bad accident going up Mt Hotham about 30km/hour up 29 kms of road. Ended with 2 car loads arriving in the dark. NO handrails up front stairs! Very scary! Because of snow parking was a problem. Once in it is very nice, but the third bedroom was so small you have to go outside to change your mind and it meant someone over 60 having to climb up the bunk bed. Missing a few luxury items like tissues, soft cloth for cleaning down surfaces, electric blankets on beds, extra bath mat and towels etc. We could not get the heater/log fire up stairs working (no instructions). This place would be great for young families or young people. Outlook was very enjoyable.

This is our third year and we still love it!
Snow Brainer is always at the top of our list for the snow season! We noticed many renovations happened this year which is really impressive and appreciated. Look forward to staying in next time!

A snowy beauty at Dinner Plain
Loved the SnowBrainer given the perfect location for warmth, beauty and comfort as our snow vacation home. Would certainly callout the proximity to all activities at dinner plain and mount Hotham a plus yet a very reasonable stay for your family with pets. The property owners and managers have been very communicative and helpful, sure could help with some loyalty points for our next visit as we can see for a return soon. We would highly recommend the SnowBrainer for all seasons.

Had a blast !
My family and I took our German shepherd to the snow for the first time and he absolutely loved it. We also loved how clean and nice the property was. It was warm and very accomodating. The only issue we had was with the fridge it was only cooling the items at the back and not at the front. But other than that it’s an amazing place to stay at !!! I definitely recommend staying here. I’ll definitely be rebooking again for next year ! Thanks Josie ! You were also very easily to communicate with and very prompt!!

Cozy, comfortable and delightful pet friendly property
We had a stellar time at Dinner Plain & a wonderful stay at ‘SnowBrainer’. We arrived later than planned and it was so lovely to find lights & the gas fire on for us. It felt like home from the moment we arrived. The beds are very comfortable and bedding warm & snuggly. The kitchen & bathrooms are well appointed with clean modern fixtures & fittings and very comfortable. While certainly not a negative (it makes for a delightful view), do be aware that the property is 3 storeys and the stairs are quite steep. The timber outdoor entry stairs can also get very slippery after a little snow and there is no handrail, so just be extra careful when it’s icy. We just loved our stay and can’t wait to return - hopefully next year.

Warm and cosy chalet
It was the family's first time in dinner plain. Everything was spot on and location wise since we go to hotham and snow board almost everyday we can easily catch a bus to and back. The chalet is clean, cosy and super warm even when we can see the snow falling outside the window. The view is superb. It is packed with amenities and you can easily contact the owner if you have any questions during your stay. We will definitely be back again and I can't wait.

Great property, however many maintenance issues require attention but remained unresolved
Snowbrainer is a lovely property and we enjoyed out time there with family and friends. The layout is good and makes the most of available space. The living area and kitchen is mid level between 2 floors so be aware there are flights of stairs without handrails which may be awkward for some. The main bedroom on the top floor is huge with its own on-suite. The bottom floor serviced the entry, bathroom, 2 bedrooms one with a double bunk and not much room for anything else, while the other bedroom sleeps 3 and is quite sizeable. We did have one major issue which was repaired. We tried a number of times to contact the host during our stay regarding this issue and others to discuss the circumstances but unfortunately we are yet to receive a reply. There are numerous maintenance issues requiring attention. While some are easy fixes others would be awkward to address with a constant flow of guests coming and going. The property offers a great little getaway.

Due to the damage of the front door caused by force by yourself or some one, from your group, you are not welcome at Snow Brainer. This comment not only is from myself but also from the owner of the property. This property is heavily booked and you're the only one to find issues. I have already been in contact with other accommodation providers locally in regards to your actions.

Beautiful property, amazing location
Beautiful property in an amazing location, we were warm and snug and able to relax and enjoy ourselves. Wish we’d packed more power boards, especially for the kitchen, which was quite hard to use at night, and wish the foyer and drying cupboard had enough space for everyone (we didn’t fill the house, but boy did we fill the drying cupboard!). The selection of games and dvds was great when we needed some downtime and next time we’d love to use the fire pit outside too.

The property is very well located - close to both the DP walking track & National Forest tracks. Super easy & close access to the Mt Hotham bus stop & shops; being pet friendly always gets bonus points from us and our Goldie loved experiencing the snow with us! Very much appreciated the shower gels as well as it was the one thing we forgot to pack! Only one small niggle was the smart lock - not sure if it was the cold that effected it or it just didn’t like us, but it was quite the battle to both lock & unlock - however we always managed to get it to do what we wanted eventually! :)

Lovely chalet with perfect spot in the snow.
The Chalet was nice with lots of extras to make a cosy home away from home. There were a few issues in regards to no internet for the first couple of days but this was then fixed by accomodation manager. Also needed to be cleaned better as lots of dust and walls haven’t been washed in high traffic areas. Fridge needed a good clean. A few condiments in kitchen out of date and need replacing. And I had to wash some pots and plates before initial use. Higher level of cleaning required to get it up to par with cost. Bedrooms were comfy with plenty of extra blankets. Extra towels per person would be ideal. Overall pleasant stay and the kids really enjoyed the snow experience

Arrived at the property late at night to find the place toastie warm with the gas fireplace going. Easy access with the door code. It is a Gorgeous property with everything you need! Snow Brainer is kept in immaculate condition and made for a very pleasurable holiday. Everything was very clean and the fittings are high quality. The management and cleaners are clearly very thoughtful about the property and what is available for guests to use. Location was great, overlooking snow gyms and close to walking and cross country trails. It is not wuit walking distance to the toboggan park though. We would gladly stay again.

Great home in the snow
It’s a very modern style home compared to all the other few houses that we’ve been staying in the past. Full kitchen as described and really clean. The only downside is the house comes with no wifi also would be great if the smart door lock can be replaced with some other type of lock. The Samsung door lock is pretty poorly designed and always have trouble with alarm ringing all the time especially we are going in and out of the house frequently. However, it was a great experience overall and we will still going back for the snow brainer next year!

Warm & snug in Dinner Plain
Dinner Plain is the perfect winter holiday destination. We enjoyed stunning bush walks in the snow, as well as free access to snow play. Avoid the resort entry charges and stay at Dinner Plain! Sleep amongst the snow gums in the luxurious master suite and be warm and snug throughout the house. This house is split across 3 levels, so would not be suitable for some and the house is generally of cozy proportions which is typical of properties at Dinner Plain.
