“Staff are amazing”

“On arrival, I was given a sheet of paper to fill in, but it was so badly printed that I could not read it! The room was spacious, with a walk in shower, kettle and tea and coffee. However, the wifi did not work for me, and the TV kept cutting out, but the bed was comfortable. In the morning, there was no water from the taps, so I could not use the lovely looking shower; I had to wash with water from the kettle, from the previous evening. I feel that the staff should have been warning guests……

“We travelled for a funeral and stayed here as the wake was in the same place The room was around the side with its own courtyard and table/ chairs for outside sitting with ample parking Although those that used the bar next to it came in and out of the fire door which we had to keep pushing shut so we could get out of the small courtyard The room in itself was clean with a few minor faults being light outside bathroom didn’t work but didn’t affect us really and small marks on the bed throw We……

“Rooms are basic some hotel/travel web pages states a pool. NO pool usable. Been out of order months . Hotel a little edgy.... Some rooms need a good deep clean. Can't see threw room windows for dirt. A couple of us stayed a few nights only 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel to share for 2!! Iron and trouser press don't work. Hot water is never Hot At moment only continental breakfast or pot noodles or crisps . Hotel is mainly used for councils homeless and domestic violence victims.……

“Disappointing one night stop over. Its more of a business traveller, conference & private events venue than a country house hotel. Suite 15 is directly opposite the kitchen extractor fan which is on from before 5.00am until the kitchen closes at night & can easily be heard in the room. The room only had one bedside table & lamp, the glazed entrance is fitted with opaque glass & is the only window so there is no view. If you could see out you would be looking at the car park. “Pros: Surrounded by a landscaped golf course. Bath not just a shower. Toiletries in room which included conditioner which isn't always provided. Complementary water and sparkling water Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Good wifi. Cons: No secondary lock on the inside of the door. Hallways smell quite bad and look very tired. Noise from other rooms or hallway overnight was quite easy to hear. Not sure if the walls are thin but it was enough to wake me up. A bit of black mould in the grouting in……

“Room a little tired, bathroom had a number of things needing repair, eg. Toilet roll holder, drainage for bath. Room was also a little hot and AC not very effective… outside temp was 23 degrees or so… so when heatwave hits it will be overly warm in room to get a good night’s sleep. Staff very friendly, and hotel atmosphere was good. Didn’t try food - dinner or breakfast, nor tried gym, so cannot comment on those. Only two working ionity chargers due to people having stolen cables… not fault of……
