“Gare 55 is amazing. It is situated in a renovated train station and the facilities are absolutely top notch. The rooms are modern and spotlessly clean and very comfortable. There is a kitchen that we were able to use and there are prepared meals available in the freezer. We are looking for a reason to revisit the area as we would love to stay at Gare 55 again.”

“Good hotel. Staff are polite and helpful. Room is small but it is expected. No kettle in room but you can get hot water in restaurants. Environment is good and comfortable. Location is good and have supermarket nearby. Overall it is highly recommended. ”

“A lovely old house with excellent bedrooms and kitchen area. The little private garden at the rear was very pleasant to sit in. Polo is a very helpful host. There are a lot of roadworks going on in the area but further into the old town are all the great sights and restaurants. ”

“Highly recommended! Hotel is clean and comfortable with spacious room. The light can be brighter though and it is a little bit inconvenient for the elderly to mount the step to go to the bathroom and toilet. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and very responsive even before my arrival to help me receive several books I ordered online. They had the room all set up and placed my books in when I arrived. what a surprise! The lady in the breakfast area warmly welcomed us every morning and made……

“Exceeded our expectation. Didn’t regret choosing to live in the old town at Ghent. (Not very touristy. More authentic and chill experience in a Game of Throne like medieval town.) Night walk in the old town is a must. So the location is superb. The room is very beautiful. Staff is very warm and helpful. We had great chat with the young lad David. We can feel his enthusiasm and love to his home town. They also recommended great restaurants. We had one of the best meal in my ten years living in……
