There is a wood burner as well as a heater/air conditioning unit. Eco friendly, the water for the tank is collected from natural rainwater, and solar power provides additional warmth. Both attractively presented bedrooms have TVs and en-suite facilities for added comfort, and many extras have been provided such as toiletries, binoculars, games, books and toys.
The Isle of Purbeck is renowned for its spectacular scenery including Poole Harbour – the largest natural harbour in Europe. The area also features England’s first World Heritage Site, the Jurassic Coast, with its unique geology and fossils dating back millions of years. A short drive takes you to Lulworth Cove with its pebble beach and perhaps take a walk up and over the hill to famous Durdle Door. The whole of this area has lovely scenery and coastal walks. There are numerous attractions, ranging from the Bovington Tank Museum, Monkey World, Weymouth Sea Life Park and Butterfly Farm and Abbotsbury Swannery and Subtropical Gardens. The seaside town of Swanage with its golden sandy beach and Durlston Country Park and Steam Railway are well worth a visit. The historic market towns of Dorchester and Wareham are nearby, as well as the pretty National Trust’s Corfe Castle, Blue Pool, Brownsea Island and Arne RSPB Nature Reserve. Beach 5 miles.
