Spectacular!!

Can't say anything except spectacular - the little touches that were just extras (nothing the owner needed to do but did to make us even more welcome) went a long ways. This is a must stay ad we will be back for sure.

Our Family Trip

The Cottage was very comfortable there was more than enough room for my family of 20, the kitchen was well stocked, Cottage was very clean well equipped with something for everyone to do.

Amazing !!!

I can’t say enough good about the Cottage on Maple Pond. It was wonderful. Our whole family enjoyed our time there. Our sons and grandsons fished from dawn to dusk. They loved it. Everything was perfect. Rose thought of everything down to the last detail. I never stayed at a place that supplied so much. We all can’t wait to come back.

Perfection

The Cottage at Maple Pond was the perfect get away for our spring break mini vacation. There were 9 guests in our group and we all had an exception time. Everything was amazing. So much fun for the kids. Rose did an amazing job at preparing for our stay- every detail (large and small) as taken care of- and then some. I cannot recommend Your Family’s Place enough. The kids are already begging to book again!

Rose is a wonderful host who did lots of little things to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We had 7 adults and 10 kids between ages of 4 and 13. They all had a blast playing in the pond together! The facilities were beautifully appointed and maintained.

Amazing venue for a family gathering

The Cottage at Maple Pond is absolutely perfect. The layout is exactly what we needed for several families gathering for Christmas. The home has everything you need, and the basement is perfect for all generations to play! We were even able to enjoy the gorgeous outdoor patio and fire pit. The view from there is spectacular. A hidden gem

We are so happy to stay at Cottage of Maple Pond. The house is so huge, very modern, and well maintained. We all love the decorations in the house, great taste! My husband enjoyed fishing in the pond. He and my daughter caught large mouth basses. The owner, Rose, is extremely helpful. We will definitely choose Cottage at Maple Pond again!

Thanksgiving at The Cottage

The home was absolutely wonderful. We enjoyed all the outside activities and all the fun games in the lower level. The house had everything we needed to host our Thanksgiving get together and the fireplace was so cosy. We thought there would be 6 bedrooms because that was what the listing stated so when we got there we were a bit confused to find that there were only 4. You had to rent the cabin next door to get 2 more bedrooms. There were several couches so we made it work. Rose was the most gracious host we have ever had at a vrbo. We would definitely stay there again.

Incredible Property

We had an amazing 4th of July weekend at this location. There were 16 of us including teenagers and senior citizens with many in between. Everyone was thoroughly impressed with the property which included ample space, numerous activity options, and pristine amenities. We also reserved the guesthouse and the kids enjoyed having their own spot. Rose was a delight to work with and handled every detail to make it a wonderful experience. If you looking for a house to accommodate a large group this is your property!

Highly recommend!

We just got married here with 10 of our closest family members! We stayed 3 nights and the place had everything we needed! We enjoyed the private pond, all the arcade games in the basement and most of all just the beautiful scenery on the property! Rose is available for easy communication! She even had her delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies awaiting upon our arrival and a s’mores kit from a local business! We also enjoyed a fair in the local town! A lot of history in this small little cute town.

If I ever created a vacation rental, this is the property and service I would strive to achieve. I hope we can get back to the area again and hope this property is available. I cannot recommend this enough, and we really didn’t even utilize the property here as much as we would’ve liked to. Wonderful host and wonderful stay and the attention to detail is the best I’ve ever seen in any rental I’ve ever done. Please respect this house. They certainly have gone out of the way to ensure their guest are treated to a first class experience.

Best Family Fall Trip Ever!!

We have stayed at a lot of places over the years but this place far exceeded expectations! From the property setting to the amenities, the extras, the adds on, the decor and top notch host, this place was everything and more. We fished, kayaked, swam (burr!), had game night, ate together (14 around 1 table!!!), had fires and made smores :), had game night, girls night/guys night, studied the Bible in the morning while the sun came up looking over the lake, slept comfortably, zipped, swung, and hiked all on one great property! We felt like we were home right away with the great greetings form Rose and the only thing that would have made this trip and time better was just that, more time here. We will come back and recommenced it to all!! Thanks Rose!!!

Perfection

What a stunning place, and what an exceptional host! I cannot say enough about the house. It comes with everything a family would want and need. We held our family Christmas here and had a wonderful time. The game room downstairs was perfect for kids and adults. Many hours of fun were had. The upstairs was large enough to move around very comfortably, and the table provided plenty of space to sit. The host, Rose, found out we were hosting Christmas at the house and put up the Christmas decor early for us. She was so thoughtful, helpful, and wonderful to work with. We cannot wait to come back. The entire family raved about how amazing the house was. Thank you for everything!

The Perfect Cabin getaway!

The Cottage is everything we wanted and needed. Secluded in the private woods with no sounds of anyone or anything. This clean and elegant cottage has everything amenity you need. From a game room in the basement, hot tub, Cornhole, fire pit and a swimming pond with every water amenity needed. Plus a fully stocked kitchen and fresh baked homemade cookies when you show up! This trip was in December and the cottage was decorated for the holidays in every room! It made us feel at home but also so far away from any stress or worry! And best of all our Dogs got to be by our side the whole time! If you are looking for a cabin or cottage in Ohio this is what you need !

Wonderful, Relaxing Weekend

I cannot begin to express how wonderful of a weekend that myself and my girls had at The Cottage! From the moment we walked through the front door, I was so impressed with the beauty and the cleanliness! Going into the weekend, I was a little worried that - due to the cool weather - my girls might get bored. Nope. Not even close. The basement was so much fun...we had air hockey tournaments and old school Tetris matches. My 13 year old daughter especially loved the skee-ball machine! My younger daughter loved feeding the fish on the dock, and lounging in the hot tub. But the winner of the weekend was the zip line. My girls would sit in the hot tub and then dare each other to go zip lining. They loved it so, so much! We will definitely be back sooner rather than later. Thank you so much for a beautiful, family-filled time!!!

Family adventure

From the driving directions Rose provided for our family to get to the Cottage, to the special surprise provided at the end of our stay, the weekend could not have been any better or more enjoyable for all.While the cottage was described beautifully online, we found it to be so much more when we arrived. Simply breathtaking... Pleanty of space for our family of 8 ( 1 on the way) to relax and not be crawling over each other when we wanted a little quiet space, but so beautifully decorated with pleanty of open space for our family to gather for games & late christmas celebration. The cottage was still decorated with simply beautiful christmas decorations, and special treats and a gift was waiting for us when we arrived. From getting up early for a little coffee & quiet time while others got to sleep in, to walks down by the pond & on the wooded trails, to a campfire @ night, this was a family trip made in heaven, and made possible by our new friends who provided the cottage @ maple pond. With part of our family located on the west coast not being able to travel home to Ohio until begining of the year, I believe we've now found our "forever" home for our future "christmas in January" celebrations for years to come. Thank you so much to Rose and your family for such a beautiful weekend! were perfemembers the drive seemlessly.

The Perfect Relaxing Girls Weekend

I had the most incredible weekend at the Cottage at Maple Pond, celebrating with my friends on a relaxing girls' weekend. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the charm and coziness of the cottage..even though it’s large enough to fit 12-14 😂 . The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring we had restful nights after all the laughter and fun by the firepit. What truly impressed us was how well-stocked the house was. It seemed like the host had thought of everything - from kitchen essentials like SEASONINGS and cooking oils (we always forget this stuff) to video games and firewood, it was all there for us to enjoy. We spent our time by the pond, around the fire and the large dining tables making unforgettable memories and soaking in the serene atmosphere. Speaking of the host, they were simply awesome. Friendly, accommodating, and always ready to help with any questions or requests we had. And let's not forget those incredible homemade cookies that welcomed us upon arrival - they were a delightful treat and set the tone for the whole weekend. Overall, the Cottage at Maple Pond provided the perfect backdrop for our girls' weekend, and I can't recommend it enough. It was a fantastic getaway filled with fun, laughter, and memories that will last a lifetime. Can’t wait to bring my family here!

Literally has everything you need!

This was such an amazing vacation experience- from start to finish. The level of thoughtfulness was extraordinary! From sending us a welcome video after booking, to mailing us magnets and packing lists and local attractions, we felt taken care of well before we even arrived. Our hosts literally thought of EVERYTHING. I’ve never experienced a more well-stocked kitchen (spices, oil, cookware, bakeware, extra paper towel, etc.). We had freshly-baked cookies awaiting us, a stocked drink fridge, an impressive coffee and tea bar, a s’mores kit and fun gifts and tote bag for the kids, the list goes on and on! It was clean and smelled fresh too. No bugs or spiders to be found inside (this is impressive lol)! We appreciated the abundance of firewood and chairs around the campfire. This is literally the first vacation home where we were able to fit all 13 of our family at ONE impressive viking-sized kitchen table! Even if it would’ve rained the whole time, the game room basement would definitely have kept us all occupied! The pond felt clean enough to swim in and not scummy at all (although we loved the outdoor shower for afterward!). We had a blast using the paddleboard and kid-sized and adult-sized kayaks. We would go back again in a heartbeat! Worth every penny.

Perfection for a large group

Our group has visited the Cottage at Maple Pond twice and we unanimously agree that the Cottage is just about perfect! First off, the lodgings are roomy and clean, the bedrooms all have comfortable beds and bedding, the kitchen is large (with a large fridge/freezer, too!) and a dining room table that seats 12 people. The deck also has a large table for 10 people and we greatly enjoyed grilling and eating outside. There is a covered porch by the front door which was a great place to escape for reading and peace and quiet. The sitting fire ring is surrounded by comfortable adirondack chairs, and there is also a large 10-seater picnic table and small picnic table for children nearby. The game / TV room was used many times, but we had such great weather you could usually find us enjoying the hammocks (there are 3 of them!). The best part of all was the lake - wow oh wow! There is a large floating pad for several people, in addition to many floating chairs and noodles, plus kayaks and a canoe. One person fished from the dock and caught (and released) several fish. I saw some nice birds (cedar waxwings, Carolina wrens, and eastern kingbirds) and enjoyed sitting on the dock at dusk and listening to the birds in the quiet of the evening. Rose and Brian have done a spectacular job with this house and made us feel comfortable and safe. We will definitely return!
