Lake front property

Lake house in Dowagiac, MI.

We did a three night stay. The house was very well maintained and in a good location. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. All in all, a good time for sure!

Cute Little Cottage

The cottage was cute and worked well for our visit. The upstairs was wonderful and perfect for our needs. The pier and beach area were great. The area is wonderful & the lake is just the right size for bopping around in a pontoon and floating. The only thing I would say is that the downstairs is just a large room with a lot of beds and it was hard to get it cooled off, was musty and had active spiders, so we all decided to sleep upstairs.

Family Vacation

There were some asthetic issues with the property, such as siding that was coming off and a circut breaker that kept tripping. We did have a plumbing issue that was resovled the next day, which was nice :) As far as the location and the beach front it was fantastic!

Weekend stay

The property had no curb appeal, it needed work on the outside and the grass was in desperate need of cutting. The third bedroom was in the basement with most of the beds and did not have a door. The grill was filthy and we had to get cleaner and do a deep clean before we could use it. I think we were the first people for the season and the water barely came out until my husband started cleaning the screens. I had to call to get the kitchen one cleaned. When I had inquired about the coffee maker I was told there was an expression machine b by it was a keurig which we would have brought pods for

Lovely house

Very clean and spacious. Nice kitchen. There was a rotten-egg odor with the hot water from the tap; it cleared when the hot water tank was emptied (via running the shower). Occasionally the furnace made a loud “door-slamming” noise. Loved the sun room. Beautiful view of the lake. Lots of parking available.

Needs updates

First off, communication was terrible. I didn’t get the code until day of and had to worry about the place getting canceled on. The house is just ok. Seems like there’s a lot of plumbing issues with the property..No bath tubs, Was missing a few things in the kitchen. (We had to buy our own toaster) pans could be updated. The outside area where the patio set isn’t leveled which we had to worry about falling over when seated. There are 20 stairs to get the lake front. If I would of known that I would have never booked this property. Definitely for younger people if you want to stay here. Only plus side about this property is the lake view, sandy beach front, and their back porch area in the home. I wouldn’t recommend but my family & I enjoyed ourselves outside of the home.

Great time!

nice cottage, beach is tiny (not as shown in pictures) could use central air. 1 of the bedrooms upstairs is very hot. basement bedroom need to keep door open to rest of basement so that the basement cools down from the window unit in the basement bedroom. very expensive but comparable to other cottages in the area. Great time, we will def be staying here again!
