「I stayed at this for a few days of peace and quiet and not sure I could find a better place. The whole establishment was clean and a nice balance between retro and modern, which made it homely but also very comfortable. I stayed in one of the top floor rooms with new Veluxes, a shower with excellent hot water and comfortable towels. Breakfasts are delicious and well worth the price inclusion, and any issues I had were quickly sorted by the staff. If you're thinking of staying here, you can't go...

「Lovely old pub to stay at. Plenty of parking. We were there Sunday night and they have limited menu for food (roasts, fish and chips or a burger) but what we had was really good. Shout out to Jill who seemed to be every where. Dealing with check in, serving behind the bar, taking orders at the table and delivering food to tables!!! Amazing!! And to top it off a really good breakfast to see you off. Highly recommended」

「A very pleasant stay at “The Carps”. Very pleasant, helpful, friendly staff. The room was very pleasant with a comfortable bed and roomy shower room. The room layout reflects the history of the property with a couple of shallow steps between the bedroom and shower. We stayed for dinner and were rewarded by a tasty meal. 「Firstly I would not recommend this place to stay to anyone. On the plus side the room was clean but any so called amenities were pretty basic for what was described as 4 star. To be told on arrival by the manager/chef/barman/probably everything this as he seemed to be the only person on the premises, that there was no food due to no delivery was a bit of a blow. Then be told that an English breakfast was going to be an additional £8 per head also didn't go down well. We were informed that...
