Wonderful park like grounds

Cozy and nice small touches. Bring your own sharp knives, basic spices, aluminum foil. Lots of other things provided such as linen, towels, and toilet paper, grilling supplies, firewood. Easy check in and out. Very clean. Great stay!!

Very nice.

Very peaceful and quiet. Condenser on deck could be moved, loud when running. Lot's of stairs to consider for older knees. All in all the property was very clean. Everything you need is provided. Wi/fi worked well. River is very accessible. Would stay again.

Family vacation

The house was beautiful in a beautiful setting, but the listing leads you to believe that you have a private location on the river, however this is not the case. The neighbors are right next door (within 50ft on both sides), so there was little privacy outdoors. The river access was difficult to maneuver, and the boats that are shown in the picture are not accessible by the renter (I feel like this should have been mentioned in the listing). You can see light through the floor of the master bedroom from the room downstairs so there is not much privacy inside either, and the showers are very small (28x30 inch square). The house was well appointed with activities, and overall comfortable, (the beds were super comfy!) and the front porch was a lovely place to sit and read. It would have been nice if the porch fans were in working order.

Fabulous time

We had an amazing stay and enjoyed being on the New River. We were able to spread out and play plenty of lawn games, go fishing and have a fire every night. Very centrally located to the new River State Park And about an hour plus drive to the Virginia creeper Trail. Make sure to stop by the Draper Mercantile, Yummy food, great gifts, and they have open mic night on Thursdays. The cabin was as described The rooms are comfortable, And the kitchen has the necessary pots and pans for cooking. However, the pool table is in rough shape and only one of the four pool sticks was usable, but that didn’t stop us from having a great time. The sound of the birds in the morning is wonderful and relaxing The mountains sparrows are a joy to watch and they fly into their bird houses. Quiet and tranquil is a good way to describe this place We had a wonderful surprise early in the morning by a 350 pound bear (This is just an approximation since he didn’t Step on a scale ) trying to get into the trashcan He did succeed, but was shewed away by our neighbors. The Internet is spotty, but honestly, that’s a good thing. This is a great place to come, disconnect and get in touch with nature. Bike, hike, kayak and relax!

A slice of heaven

The Anisidi cabin was dream come true. We were a family of six and had more than enough room for everyone our kids especially loved the downstairs play room. Views views views!! Every level of the house has a perfect view of the New river! This is a great place to unwind and slow down. I absolutely loved all the little details of the house the decor had purpose and you can get a sense of who the owners are by what is shown throughout the home. The appreciation for the indigenous tribes who once called the new river their home is respected throughout. This was by far my favorite detail! Cons Wi-Fi and cable were very choppy and worked maybe 20% of the time but we weren’t that bothered we spent most of our time outside which you should too! Buy food or anything else before you come! Closest store is a family dollar 8 mins away! Beautiful cabin very clean and well set up .Huge back yard that leads right out to the river.

Everyone had a good time and we all enjoyed are stay .Love playing in the yard and fishing and swimming with the kids.Very nice relaxing place to get away and unwind.

Va Tech Graduation weekend

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the River and cooking out at this lovely property! We came to graduation, although a 40 Min drive, the home was perfect retreat from the busy weekend! Graduates came and cooked out and enjoyed being with extended family and house was perfect! Look forward to returning! Highly recommend!

Great Getaway

This was one of the best bookings I have ever experienced. I traveled with my 11 year old son, 9 year old niece, and my mother. Cleanliness- everything was very neat, clean, and tidy. I really appreciated the exterior flood lights as night fell. Amenities- fully stocked kitchen (bring some coffee), towels, blankets, linens all provided. Washer and dryer are also included however, dryer may take a few cycles in order to dry the load (not a huge deal for us). Chairs to sit around the fire pit, complementary smores fixins with matches, and large firewood stack are all provided-there is even a pair of binoculars hanging on wall for you to use. Basement provides a pool table, darts, and air hockey table with another large sectional couch which is not pictured in the vrbo ads...this sectional is much bigger and provides more seating than the futon that is pictured. Pool table rails sometimes catch the pool balls and they need to be manually removed, but again, this wasn't a big deal to us. The large amount of seating available on the wrap around porch is amazing. LOVED this. WIFI has been installed, but can at times be somewhat weak, however, worked for kids to play on devices, and basic internet usage. Was not great for video calls, but was absolutely functional for basic things. VERY LIMITED TO NO CELL SERVICE. Satellite television is provided. All furniture was very comfortable. We loved the sectional couch in the living area. Location- Fantastic location. Secluded, but not far from main roads and towns. Cabin is only a few miles from interstate 81 and Rt. 100. Its about 30 minutes from Wytheville, about 20 minutes from Pulaski, about 50 minutes from Marion, and an hour from Roanoke. Overall, this was a great booking and stay. It is absolutely gorgeous from the mountain/river views, to the birds and wildlife, to the amazing starscapes at night. Anisidi was VERY spacious for all of us, with so much room inside and outside to enjoy. I actually felt as thought the cabin was bigger than what the pictures show online. The location is unbeatable. We visited so many small towns and main streets during our stay and enjoyed experiencing the local shops/restaurants. I will absolutely return and have already recommended this rental to friends and family!

Great Location

We really enjoyed out weekend getaway. There are a few thigs that could have been better. We had several lights blown out, no clear instructions on how to operate the outdoor speakers, trashcan in the basement designed to catch condensation from the AC was running over when we arrived all over the floor and had to be emptied multiple times in 2 days, AC works great for down stairs however not much relief upstairs, there was no key to be found to have use of the kayak, pots and pan selection was not great and completely worn out.

Great place in a great location!

We all had a great time and the cabin was lovely. Living 8+ hrs from family, we like to find places along I-81 to meet up. We met up with the grandparents and Aunt and Uncle. It was a great location close enough to the highway, but far enough “off the grid.” It was great to sit around the fire pit near the river cooking s’mores! The cabin had everything we needed for an enjoyable time! If your addicted to staying connected, beware there is no WiFi and very weak cell signals. You can call and text, but data is a challenge. We found this to be a good thing! We enjoyed family time with no one glued to their devices. We would love to stay at the cabin during the summer when we can play in the river and enjoy the day outside.
