There is not a private bathroom as stated, the private element is actually a shack with a compostable toilet for your wagon. "We have stayed here on a number of times and it just seems to keep getting better each time, the site has been set out to give a level of privacy to each pod, the pods are well equipped and the amount of wildlife is perfect, it can be a bit flyie between may and September, but there are a number of things put in place to reduce this along with fly screen ect, the BBQ fire pits make sitting out on a evening a must, the site is handedly placed for visits to York and elvington air museum."

"A lovely little cabin by a lake at the back of the owner's house (great distance between. Felt secluded and peaceful. Was great waking up and feeding the chickens, guinea fowl, geese and ducks with a cup of tea looking at the lake. A great spot to unplug and relax. Fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, central heating, cooker, kettle etc. a few more utensils would be handy. Highly recommend a stay here and the owners, Amanda and Barry are friendly, helpful and good folk."

"We had a really lovely couple of days stay in the Romany caravan. We were greeted with the warmest of welcomes. Bruce left us the most amazing welcome pack, lots of homemade goodies we were well & truly spoilt. Great little place with stunning views and peace and quiet. Leave your cares behind and go off grid for a few days, I can highly recommend it. Brilliant place for dogs, they are made very welcome with no charge."
