“If a view is important to you, definitely consider Villa Estrella del Norte. The view is absolutely stunning.Villa is not air conditioned, but each bedroom has a ceiling fan and constant breeze meant we rarely used them.The road to the villa from the highway is very steep, but is navigable in an ordinary car without 4X4. 35 minutes from El Catey airport.The local property manager, Randy from AIC Dominicana in Las Terrenas, had excellent communication. “Our stay, although short, was very nice at Castillo Romano. Theo and Morena made sure to welcome me and my family with open arms. Morena is an amazing cook and very friendly. Don Theo is the best! He helped us with anything we needed in the house and even gave us good advise for our trip to El Salto Del Limón. The castle is well kept and has amazing views. “This home has direct access to the main Las Terrenas beach which is incredible. Easily walkable to many restaurants and shops. Unfortunately a new restaurant and nightclub recently opened right next door that plays EXTREMELY loud dance music until 3 am. The host was very understanding about the situation and did provide us with a refund and we were able to move to a different location. It is my understanding that the nightclub is very new.
