Really fab property right in the heart of everything! Loved having the little living area, only used it to have coffee in the mornings but was really nice to have seating and kitchen area rather than sitting on the bed having coffee. Lovely bathroom, comfy bed (although pillows not great), really quiet despite being right in the middle of everything. Lovely staff, absolutely would stay again!

Cannot beat this location. Would be great if the bar inside was open, looks like too great of a space not to be active. Cafe/Common/Patio Space is excellent. Rooms are great. Staff extremely accommodating. Parking a wee hike, but worth it for this stay. We'll stay again.

This property is centrally located right across the river from Temple Bar and is conveniently located for visiting every major site in Dublin by foot. The longest walk we had was to the train station which was 30 mins to the west. I had booked a twin room to share with my sister and it was perfect. We had a little sitting area and a well equipped kitchenette so we could sit and chat and also make meals together. The room was both modern and clean and I would definitely stay here again if I returned to Dublin. We unfortunately had a room at the back of the hotel and there was a major construction project going on but it wasn’t too much of a distraction…even though it was unsightly.

Absolutely horrible. The property does not live up to its rating. It charges luxury prices but delivers substandard accommodations. The “River Suite” has a view of a roof, not a river. A/C didn’t work. Sink was clogged. Exposed conduit and concrete ceilings. Shabby furniture. Poor design including walking into the bedroom. Awful. I left after 2 nights and stayed elsewhere in Dublin. Staff was downright rude. Wouldn’t return any money. The Locke Brand is permanently stained for me. I’ll never stay there or any Locke hotel again. Zero stars. Not one redeeming quality

We spent 3 nights at the Zanzibar. It was perfectly located, clean & well-maintained. Our family occupied two different categories of rooms, one with & one w/o a washer/dryer. The room with the washer/dryer was slightly bigger, but due to its location in the building & being on the first floor, it was dark throughout the day. There are communal washer/dryers so if you don’t need a washer/dryer in your room, then a regular double should be sufficient. The front desk staff were young & quite international. The vibe is more hostel than traditional hotel. It’s great for people who prefer more independence while traveling.
