Our room is clean and orderly. Breakfast was good, nice variety and good tasting.
Very disappointed in the front desk, Customer Service. I understand that on the weekend it’s a busy time with waterpark customers. We were attending a wedding and driving in 3 1/2 hours to get there. I called at 11 AM and asked if we could get an early check in because the wedding was at 2 PM, so we could get dressed at the hotel instead of a gas station. I was told like a call back at 1 PM and see if our room was ready. I was told it was not ready and asked if there was a restroom I could change in? Instead of the desk attendant telling me that I could do that since the room wasn’t ready, I had to ask.
After I asked, she said yes, with a little negative attitude, added, on the second floor. I went to the second floor, restroom stall, and there was newspaper on the floor in the bathroom was not in good order, dirty sinks, and water on the floor and countertop.
We returned at 3:15 and was told our room was still not ready, so we had to wait in the lobby until it was cleaned. I understand that check-in is 4 PM normally, but after explaining the long drive of 3 1/2 hours and a wedding at 2 o’clock, 3 miles away, and not being familiar with the city, I was hoping there’d be more accommodation or at least pleasant attitude. Fortunately, I booked this on Expedia. I would’ve been even more disappointed, had I paid the rack rate.
