「Very quiet, cozy & comfortable Inn. Although located in a remote area of Lake District, easy to find & can reach other spots easily. Must try the dinner at the restaurant which is very good with reasonable price. Only the towel rack in my room is not working which is a minor stuff. Furthermore everything in the breakfast seems overcooked.」

「Beautiful room, stunning view from room 4. Staff were friendly and attentive. Breakfast was excellent, and if you are heading out for walks, they can provide a packed lunch if you order the day before. There must have been at least 5 extremely wellbeahaved dogs at the hotel that were owned by guests, its a super dog friendly place. There are towels to dry off the dogs and also a sink outside undercover with warm water tap to clean the dogs if needed.」

「This is a wonderful place to stay with a very warm welcome. It's a very comfortable family home with excellent views across Bassenthwaite Lake to Skiddaw, comfortable bed, a very filling full English breakfast (also with cereal and toast), very quiet, a short walk to the lake side, at the foot of Whinlatter Forest and close to a bus stop for the X5 to Keswick or the Workington direction. Parking is next to the house.」
