“The cleaner was listening at our door the morning of checkout. It was 9 am, and checkout isn't until 11. The room wasnt vacumed the previous guest's hair tie was in the middle of the floor. The oceanfront room windows were disgusting. The bed was comfortable, bars in the shower for safety, and the views were phenomenal.”

“They had a crows nest type deck to sit and enjoy the water which was great. We went in March so still chilly. We will opt for 2nd or 3rd floor next time. They had wine and cheese at 4pm and continental breakfast at 8 am-ish. Flies made cheese and crackers part unappealing and it was not even available first night. Continental breakfast was ehhhh. Most options were past sell date. Mike greated us when we got there and showed us around. Super nice. Would have liked to have a list of restaurants……

“The hotel is in the middle of renovations, so there’s that. Great location and check in staff was friendly. For the price we paid for an oceanfront room, the room was ok. It had been updated, but there were cigarette ashes on our balcony and hair all over our room floor. The bathroom ceiling had mold. The neighbors that stayed near us Saturday night were obnoxiously loud til 4:30am, but that’s not the hotels fault. ”

“I am so glad i found the FCI for our first trip to the Outer Banks. We really enjoyed our six night stay there during the last week of October. Our room was perfect for us and the yummy hot breakfast every morning was amazing. We chose a historic inn rather than a hotel or airbnb because we like the more personal touch an Inn provides.
