FLX Family Weekend

The listing matched the house, cleanliness, and great communication with the management company. We enjoyed the sunset and sunrise from this location and watching the fishermen running up and down the lake or trolling in the area. The house was a good size for family to dine together and laugh and play games in the spacious living room.

Family vacation

The house is spacious, many beds and space to hang out. The grandkids loved the ping pong/pool table. The rear is right on Lake Waneta. There are kayaks, canoe and paddle boat. The kitchen is very well stocked with utensils for all uses.

This house does not disappoint

This is a beautiful home on a lovely lakefront property. The pictures are exactly what you get. Though the house is easy more spacious than we were expecting. Would love to go back again.

Perfect for a family vacation

My husband, myself, and our four year old stayed for three nights in June. My parents and sister came to visit during the day. We enjoyed kayaking on the lake. Saw ospreys and beavers and water lilies. The lake house is perfect for a family gathering with plenty of space and a wonderful open family room with tv and ping ping table. Beautiful views of the lake from the family room and the deck.

Absolutely stunning home and views were amazing. Loved the boats and the cleanliness was sparkling. Great family time and the ping pong table and pool table were a hit with the teenagers. It was private and so relaxing!

Excellent place to stay and make quality memories with friends. The views are spectacular. Back deck is right on the lake and is an amazing place to relax and hang out while the lawn in the front of the house provided a good opportunity to play lawn games with toddlers. The house was very clean, cozy, and inviting. Everyone loved the moose theme. Would look to come back if we are back in the area.

The home was ideal for our visit to the Finger Lakes. It was an easy drive to get to Hammondsport, Watkins Glen and Penn Yan. Lots of wineries and restaurants in the area. House had plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms all well stocked with towels and soap. Lots of places to sit and gather both inside and out. View of the lake was gorgeous. We visited in the Fall so we didn’t go on the lake but canoe, kayak and peddle boat were provided. Lots of good info provided in the guest book and responses to questions were prompt. Would definitely recommend!

Our second trip here was just as excellent as the first. House is truly outstanding. Well stocked with awesome pool and ping pong table the kids loved. House is on a beautiful lake that is pretty quiet, ideal for boating and kayaking. Its also centrally located to explore all of the natural wonders that the local area, from wineries to the incredible local geology at the state parks.

Family Celebration

The house and location provided the prefect space for our family of 9 to celebration our mother/grandmother who passed away 6 months ago. House had everything we needed for cooking meals and enjoying the lake. We spent every night on the deck enjoying the sunsets. We would stay here again.

Fantastic home for big family

We had 4 adults and 4 teenagers. The property was perfect for us! The teens loved having the upstairs area all for themselves. The pool table that turns into a ping pong table got a lot of use. So fun to have something to do as a family. The kitchen is well stocked. It had everything we needed. Best part is the amazing deck and view of the lake. We spent the majority of our time there. The paddle boat, canoe and kayaks got a lot of use. Can’t wait to return

Papa Loved Fishing!

Our family had a blast! Small boats with paddles and life jackets was wonderful. The big open room with kitchen was great for our family. Kitchen was well stocked with appliances. We enjoyed the master bedroom - mattress was great. We are actually looking to get one like it. No one liked entering the water from the shore but they figured it out with the boats and our paddle boards. We will probably be back! PS - loved the big picture of the family!

This is a beautiful well-maintained home located right on peaceful Waneta Lake! I was looking for a place that would help accommodate my husband's mobility issues and this place did not disappoint. There are a few steps down to access the property from the lawn but there's a sturdy railing. Once inside, the home is spacious, easily accommodating a walker. The first floor bedroom was helpful. This home has a wonderful open floor plan with lots of room, many books, puzzles and movies for entertainment on rainy days. We had a wonderful time playing ping pong! The beautiful deck has plenty of seating, shade umbrellas, and two propane fire pits. We didn't use the fire pits but it was great to know that they could be turned on with a switch. All the beds were comfortable with both extra pillows and extra blankets. Everything was clean! The kitchen has lots of space. Many times we've rented a house and the cupboards are full of dishes with no room for our groceries. This kitchen had a complete, ceiling length cupboard, with pullout shelving where we could place our food. Additionally, we appreciated that it is located on a very quiet side road where we walked daily. Papa's Paradise truly is a paradise; great for relaxing and connecting with family and friends.

Papas Paradise was Paradise for Our Family

Great property with plenty of space inside and outside to enjoy quality time together. The home is well equipped with spacious bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, a well-stocked kitchen, and indoor activities including a ping-pong table, large selection of boardgames, and 2 wonderful livingrooms to kick-back and relax. The peddle-boat, canoes and kyaks along with the outdoor grill, and backyard patio overlooking the lake provided the perfect setting. The one drawback, which we resolved by visiting nearby (13 minute ride) Champlin Park, was that you can’t swim comfortably in the lake. The plant growth in the water, which begins at the shore and extends past the dock, is abundant, and while my son swam out to the middle of the lake surrounded by other family members on the peddleboat and kayak he still found himself swimming up against the plants. Champlin Park in Hammondsport added an extra delight for us ,and the town has great shops, icecream and The Aroma Bakery & Art Cafe, with amazing mediterannean cuisine. If we ever wanted to stay in a home again in the Finger Lakes this will be our go-to!

Lots of gathering spaces, deck on lake amazing, water sports availability good. Based on our planned activities good location. Nice neighborhood good for a morning walk. Bathrooms dated and toilets very short. Front steps loose. TV challenging to operate. Not enough chairs at dining table with 2 broken chairs in closet.
