“Very friendly check in by Kevin, the proprietor. We had a ground floor room with countryside views which were lovely. It was so peaceful! The room was comfortable, well furnished and equipped to a good standard. Breakfast cooked by Kevin was excellent with generous, well cooked portions. The property is well placed to explore Lynton and a car is essential.Lynmouth but the information provided by Expedia is incorrect when it states that it’s only a seven minute walk to Lynton‘s cliff railway. “What a gorgeous house in a beautiful area, well run by a lovely couple. We had a wonderful stay; this little gem is tucked away on a quiet hillside spot, with breathtaking views of the coast and on the doorstep of lovely walks, and just a few minutes walk to the towns of Lynton & Lynmouth. Our room was lovely; warm, clean and spacious, a pretty and comfortable bed, soft bedding and nice pillows with a great sea view. The communal lounge had a cosy atmosphere, decorated for Christmas and stocked……

“A modern bathroom in a 14th century hotel was definitely not expected. WiFi worked in the room. The staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast provided a good selection and the cooked items were really good. Sunday lunch was close to home made with plenty of different vegetables. Will definitely return!”

“The main thing to be said about our stay at the poltimore is that the staff really couldnt do enough for you. So attentive and lovely. The room was clean, spacious and had a stunning view of the countryside. The water sometimes ran brown, but this is probably the only negative comment to be said. Food has always been very nice here. “The Bath Hotel and the Lynmouth town are delightful. The hotel, the town and the local people are quirky, chatty and friendly. We arrived in Lynmouth as the Steampunk parade was shutting down. The people were very friendly and willing to tell us all about the parade and its history, and to recommend places to visit. The hotel staff were also very friendly and helpful. It is certainly a great place to stay.”
