Cozy cottage on our private lake and 75 wooded acres

Experience FARM LIFE on the Cumberland Mountains of Tennessee! Enjoy waking up in our 650sq ft, open floor plan cottage with a wood burning flame view stove, on our homestead with a large private Mountain Lake and 77 wooded acres to hike and enjoy! We have seasonal flowers such as daffodils, peonies, lavender, dahlias and more. We also have on the farm a variety of Farm Animals (chickens, turkeys, peacocks, geese, horses, dogs, cats and 1 pig) that love interacting with visitors.
Our private lake is available for catch and release fishing, swimming, canoeing and kayaking. There is a propane grill for your use.
Other nearby sites include historic Chattanooga, Tennessee Aquarium, beautiful Rock City Gardens and Ruby Falls attractions along with several local state parks with waterfalls at Fall Creek Falls , Savage Gulf and Rock Island State Parks for further Tennessee exploration. Please be aware that security cameras monitor the adjacent exterior perimeter of the cabin.

Cozy Cottage in the Woods!

My wife and I really enjoyed our trip to this property. The owners made sure everything was set up to make our stay great. Even with a really late arrival.

Peaceful Paradise!

If you are looking for peace and quiet away from the everyday chaos this is it. Beautiful lake and scenery with a menagerie of "critters" to visit and entertain you. The cabin is very comfortable and tastefully decorated, just like the photos on the website. Definitely on our list to visit again.

Woke up each day to coffee on the porch, fog going across the lake, and a variety of animals to greet us. Warm friendly owners are always a plus. For relaxation this is the place, also easy access to a wide range of things to do.

Quiet and peaceful getaway with lots of fun animals to keep you company!

Small and cozy cottage on a working flower farm. I enjoyed the peaceful front porch, serene lake and the many animals that surrounded me, including about 7 dogs. Close to a Mennonite community and Fall Creek Falls park.

Absolute Lovely

What an absolute joy this little mountain cabin is! We simply loved everything about this property. The owners were lovely, the property is gorgeous and the animals were pure delight. The cabin was fully stocked with plush towels, soft linens and handmade quilts along with all the basics in the kitchen. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

Heaven on Earth

This is a wonderful cabin, easy to feel at home, very welcoming in every way. Joel and Kim are wonderful hosts, and one can feel the love they have put into their farm, the cabin, and the animals are an added attraction. We call it "The Peaceable Kingdom". A lovely place in every way.

Such a peaceful place to stay

Our only regret for staying at the cabin was not having enough time there. We were hiking the MammothMarch at Fall Creek Falls which took up our entire Saturday. We loved sitting on the front porch looking at the lake and watching the animals and listening to nothing but nature! Kim and Joel, the hosts were amazing and made sure we had everything we needed. Would love to come and stay when all the flowers are in bloom!

Beautiful Lake View Cabin

We enjoyed our stay at the Lake house. The animals were fun to watch and so loving. We fished and canoed the lake and the weather was so beautiful for us to be able to spend most our time outdoors. We didn’t get a chance to make a fire due to no rain in awhile but that was ok we spent our nights indoors playing card games. If you want a secluded vacation away from the everyday hustle and bustle of normal life this is the place!

True Southern Comfort and Hospitality

If you are looking for a remote get away on a gorgeous farm with a private lake, look no further. This is our second time staying at Providence Flower Farm and we are already looking forward to the next time we visit. Secluded cabin nestled in the woods beside a beautiful private lake with a working wood stove, 4 poster bed and decorated with authentic antiques. We really enjoyed watching all the farm animals, feeding the ponies fresh apples and fell in love with the farm dogs. Thank you Kim and Joel for being perfect hosts.

Relaxing Farm Retreat

Providence Farm was nothing short of amazing. Kim and Joel were fabulous hosts and their property is such a nice getaway from the fast-paced hustle and bustle of everyday life. The cabin was so welcoming and lovingly decorated. Everything we needed was provided, even down to fresh eggs for breakfast! The animals were so friendly and we enjoyed walking around the pond with their sweet farm dog by our side. This trip was for my husband’s birthday, and we are already planning another trip back for mine. If you are looking for a fantastic farm stay, I HIGHLY recommend this property.. You will not be disappointed.

Beautiful view and Rooster too

The cabin was very easy to find, only a short distance off a major highway. There was plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the peaceful lake and the lush landscape. There is an abundance of animals, ducks, and geese to watch; just be careful where you step. We live busy lives, and go on vacation to enjoy a slower pace for a few days. We were startled to be awakened every morning before 5 am by a huge rooster in a chicken coop a mere 30 feet away from our cabin. I realize roosters make noise early in the morning, but he made it very difficult for a light sleeper to ignore.

Once you visit this cozy cabin once you will want to go back! This is a great place to recharge and get away from the rest of world The owners are great and are very helpful. There are two kayaks and a canoe available with paddle's, they have a huge catch and release lake, you can swim or there are tubes that we utilized just to float, the cabin is stocked with plates, cups, and silverware, there’s a small hiking trail as well right out the back door. One of our favorite things was the animals that we met (“right out the front door”). Most or all of their animals are rescues which include ducks, chickens, 3 or 4 ponies, a pig, a few barn cats , and two friendly dogs named Chris and Bear who enjoyed following/showing us around ☺️:) on top of allll of that the owners Joel and Kim who own Providence Farm have a little shop set up inside the cabin where you can buy eggs, fresh bread, honey, pepper jelly, muscadine grape jelly, apply jelly, wreaths, bouquets from their flower garden and more!! This is a home away from home and I promise you will never want to leave!

Amazing!!

My husband and I arrived later in the evening and the hosts had made it so easy for us to just walk in and feel at home. The place is fabulous! Very clean and neat, good instructions. Waking up to the mist over the lake was wonderful. Ponies and ducks and two friendly dogs wandering the property gave us the true farm feel. Our favorite aspect was the secluded location; we felt like we had the entire farm to ourselves! The dock and canoe were wonderful assets as well. 100% recommending this to friends and family and hope to go back ourselves! We booked this for the proximity to Fall Creek Falls but found ourselves not even wanting to leave … we could have spent the entire time at the cabin. Next time we’ll bring in some groceries and make more use of the well -equipped kitchen. If you’re there early in the week, many local restaurants don’t open until Tuesday or Wednesday so be prepared. The Lodge Restaurant at Fall Creek Falls was excellent food and service though, 30ish minutes away.

Peaceful Mountain Hideaway

Joel and Kim are the kindest hosts. The cabin is just perfect. When we first arrived it had a spa-like experience with quiet classical music, dimmed lights, and a relaxing scent wafted through the open door. The check-in was easy as pie. Joel and Kim were super friendly when we ran into them on the property and chatted with us and answered all my husband’s questions about their animals. Let me tell you about the view. Nothing beats waking up and seeing the lake out the window or sitting on the porch and listening to nature while drinking our morning coffees. Oooh don’t forget about the night sky!! We live in suburbia, so the sky is often washed in lights, but here you can see the Milky Way!! Even saw several shooting stars from a meteor shower. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Any questions or concerns, Joel and Kim are there to assist! My husband caught several 1-2 pounder bass while fishing from his kayak. They weren’t big but they put up a serious fight. Looking for things to do besides relax by the lake? There are several state parks close by for waterfall viewing and hiking. There are a few towns close by for antiquing ooor you could drive down to Chattanooga for bigger city experiences. Also, fun fact…Dunlap is the the paragliding capital of the southeast, if you want a little thrill seeking experience.

We can't thank Joel and Kim enough for our wonderful stay! Our weekend was absolutely perfect. The cabin was so cute and cozy. The view of the lake was breath taking and we loved getting the canoe out and fishing. We got married on the dock and we couldn't have asked for better hosts. We will definitely be coming back for more weekend getaways!
