Overall it was excellent, beautiful and the river was amazing. Only set backs was a little too close to a busy road and make sure you screenshot/write down check in instructions prior to getting at the cabin

Overall the location and creek make this spot. It's close to Vallecito Lake, Durango, and some good hiking. The river is on the property and there's a small private sandy area where you can wade a bit. A few cons: - Cleanliness. When we got there we noticed an odor and realized the area rug in the living room was stained and filthy. We notified the property manager and they let us know they would clean it after our stay. - Mice. There is a SERIOUS rodent problem. We found our sealed food items torn into and mice poop on the kitchen counters. We took every precaution to avoid this and they still returned each night. - Bed. The queen bed needs to be replaced. I saw another review about this and thought they were exaggerating, but no. You can feel the springs. - Linens & Supplies. We were there for 5 days and were only left 3 bath towels, and no other linens. The kitchen was also severely lacking, with old scratched pans and pots without lids. They also didn't leave basic cleaning supplies like a sponge - which we had to purchase. Also there isn't a dishwasher so not sure how they were expecting guests to clean dishes. - Lack of transparency. After you book through VRBO they will send you a separate email through a separate company requiring you to consent to an additional damage liability waiver, outside of VRBO. I feel like this should have been disclosed prior to booking.Overall - this place needs work but with improvements it could be a lovely cabin.

This was our 2nd stay at this property. Secluded and comfortable. Florida river steps from the front door was an added bonus. Hannah, the property manager is top notch.

If you looking for a place to relax and enjoy nature this is the perfect property. The property is close to Durango but far enough out of town to see the wildlife. Great fly fishing is just a few feet from the front door of the cabin.

This cabin was cozy and comfortable, the perfect launch pad for all of the outdoor activities in the area. There is a dog-friendly trail across the road and Lemon Reservoir is within 5 miles! The kitchen is spacious and the beds are comfortable. You can access the Florida River directly from the property. A gorgeous spot for a week in the woods.
