Summer stay. Walk right out the back patio to the beautiful Purgatory resort. Local wildlife, mountain views, short hikes, stargazing, and 1-2 min walk to the resort center for activities. Really impressed with the kitchen supplies and equipment available! It's not often a home has everything we might have forgotten or didn't even realize we needed!

Purgatory Slope Side

Three generations of skiers. Plenty of room. Comfortable furnishings. Lots of games. Quiet. Enough firewood to run an iron foundry. Ski in and out. Parking for two vehicles. Host responded immediately to a minor issue which was taken care of. I'd stay again.

Wonderful True Ski In Ski Out

Place was wonderful. We all enjoyed our stay and accommodations. Great location for anyone that loves Purgatory and wants to stay get on the slopes as soon as possible and stay as long as possible!

Purgatory resort condo

The location of this property is ideal if going between Durango, Silverton and Ouray. We spent the evenings with family by the fireside relaxing and playing games . It was nice to have four bedrooms a loft that sleeps two and three full bathrooms over all we would stay at this property again if going back to Purgatory.

Beautiful place to stay for ski in and out with little skiers. Also sledding and snow fun right out off the deck.

Excellent Location

Edelweiss has the best location at Purgatory, right on the slopes! Condo was clean and very well stocked with plenty of dishes, glasses, etc. The deck has barstools for afternoon relaxing. Highly recommended.

Great Location for Skiing

We had 8 adults and was very accommodating for all of us. The kitchen was fully stocked with all cooking pans, utensils, etc., that we needed for meals each day and the bedrooms also had humidifiers to help with the dry air. The owner Leslie was very responsive not to mention that the location is one of the best on the mountain truly skiing right out of and into the back door. Definitely will stay again!!!

June in Purgatory

Enjoyed watching the bikes come across the hill while enjoying the evening from the mountainside deck. Perfect setting for enjoying the mountain.

Loved it!!

This is our favorite friend/family trip of the year and the condo was a perfect fit. Nothing beats being able to ski down to the first lift (especially with kids), coming back to your own place for lunch, and having drinks on the deck while the kids sled once the lifts close. Our condo had everything we needed and the hosts were very helpful and responsive to any needs or questions. We've already booked for next year.

Easy access ski trip good for two families

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at edelweiss #10. The ski in/out location was superb & Purgatory was our boy’s favorite ski trip. The property was very comfortable for two families. The pizzeria near the lodge was a great dinner option but cooking at the unit was very easy as well. The snowy hill behind the property was so fun for our boys to play on & sled down after the ski slopes closed. We would definitely stay here or another Edelweiss property in the future.

Great location

The location was awesome with hiking trails outside the back door. It was an easy drive into the town for shopping, dining and some white water rafting. The condo had plenty of space to accommodate our 10 family members and the condo was stocked with all the necessities. The only issue was the bed on the lowest level had dips and seemed old and worn out. The host was east to communicate with and I would recommend this condo for those traveling to Durango Mountain.

Perfect Ski In and Ski Out Location

We could not have asked for a better week at Durango/Purgatory. Property was in such a great location and made it so convenient for us to trade off kid responsibilities between adults. Property was clean and I found the beds to be comfortable. The hosts (Leslie and Richard) are as nice as they come and exceptionally personable; that in itself made me love this place even more (they are very responsive to emails). I am so appreciative to have found this booking and will rebook for future trips!

Great Location, Very Cozy!

We rented this condo for a weekend of skiing and time with family and friends. It fit the bill perfectly. There was more than enough room for everyone to spread out in the condo. It's location on the mountain provides easy access to the base area and high speed lift. The kitches was very user friendly with a great open floor plan. The owners were a true pleasure to work with. They made everything from booking to paying very, very easy. We will be staying here again.

Wonderful place.

I really enjoyed it here. The location is fantastic, great vibe, clearly a loved place. Being able to have our dogs there was a treat. Some of my family were nit-picky in my opinion. We were clearly the first of the ski season. The place was clean, but wasn't walked through before we arrived (a few items needed attending to) & the heat wasn't on (and took a day to warm up); but honestly, I think these things were all related to the start of the season and would be atypical. I would (and hope to) stay here again; and I think that is the overall sentiment of our group.

Just wonderful

My sons (3 adults) with their girfriends plus an extra buddy gathered this past weekend, and was delighted to have so many homey conveniences. The weather didn't cooperate, but we had plenty to do inside the condo while we were stuck inside. Once we got outside, we went separate ways to explore and all of us came back with the desire to come back there this winter to ski. It's located perfectly for easy lift access, come home for lunch, then ski out for the afternoon. The mountain bike trail out the back door is perfect. I loved everything about this place, and hope to come back soon.

3 stars for the dwelling, 5 for the location

We've been coming to Purgatory for years and stayed in several condos of various types and sizes. This time we had our parents with us so we needed more space. This one is in a great location but the unit itself left a lot to be desired. I'm a very positive person but feel honest feedback would be helpful for future guests. I was surprised by all the 5-star reviews. In short, if you need 2 master suites, look elsewhere. If you don't, and have 4-6 people this would be a great place to consider. In detail the master down stairs earned itself the nickname "the dungeon." The mattress was in desperate need of replacement and you could see the depressions in it even after it was made. The bathroom in there was smaller than a cruise ship and the toilet was the lowest I have ever seen (and I've been in real estate for 18-years) and being 6'5" that wasn't ideal. It was so bad that my wife and moved into the bedrooms upstairs and kicked our kids out to the loft area. The main master seemed okay, my in-laws didn't complain. We did learn something we didn't know, single ply toilet paper is still available! The TP here would have been better used to wet sand a paint job than to wipe your, well you know. Other than that it was okay. It was cramped even for our party of 6, so I can't imagine having 10 people here. The car port was extra wide which made storing our SUP boards and bikes easy. The kitchen was small but well stocked, lots of spices which was nice. Sitting on the back patio was awesome! The proximity to the lift was amazing and the views of people jumping their bikes on "Last Chance" was really fun to see! Like I said, a 5 for location, 3 for the unit itself.

Great Ski in Ski out

2 families, 4 adults 4 kids, loved the location, great deck overlooking mountain and hill for kids to sled. Had everything we needed, can be a little tight in the public areas with that many people but plenty of bedrooms to spread out.
